Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

My comment was simply that Trump’s humor was old & tired shtick that hasn’t triggered anyone in a long time. Then it was pointed out to me that he hasn’t been president for almost 4 years, & I pointed out that Trump has been in the US tabloid & MSM since the 70s. The barnacle comment was about the divorces & scandals & reality TV & harangues. I’m not saying anyone should reject Trump because he’s been around forever. Reagan was a longtime media presence & he was a great president.

‘Beware the evil of Swamp Creatures!’ said man who chose to surround himself with Swamp Creatures literally scores of times.

Eh actual Catholic. Yeah I agree with you Biden was already around too long running for President in 2008. But we’re talking humor & triggering here.

Ok see that’s good humor. Cheers.

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

He’s been running for President for 11 years, been on TV non-stop since 2006, in the tabloids since 1979, he’s a barnacle on American society.

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

The video is dumb, should’ve done nothing at all. IMO Obama ruined this event. Like the gridiron dinner it used to be for political geeks. Dems & GOPers would sit next to each & gently rib each other.

Yes, Shecky Green doing his “hey that was no lady!” shtick for the 10th year running in the Poconos material will never stop being controversial.

10 years with this guy. He’s been around longer than Hillary in 2012 at this point. Worn out is more like it.

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

Man in makeup, with a bouffant wraparound hairdo, who wears some sort of girdle-spanks-depends contraption, once seen on tv making out with another older dude in drag, making fun of trannies. I mean, if you want humor, there it is.

Trump gives blond chick the boot

Sure, like his Vice President. And his chiefs of staff. And his national security advisors. His DNI. His press secretary. Nearly all his cabinet members. And here the guy who produced and marketed his show in such a way that even today people repeat the patter he created about Trump.

Trump gives blond chick the boot

We Created a Monster: Trump Was a TV Fantasy Invented for 'The Apprentice' >>NBC’s former chief marketer regrets selling an illusion that has had dire consequences for the world. …To sell the show, we created the narrative that Trump was a super-successful businessman who lived like royalty. That was the conceit of the show. At the very least, it was a substantial exaggeration; at worst, it created a false narrative by making him seem more successful than he was. In fact, Trump declared business bankruptcyfour times before the show went into production, and at least twice more during his 14 seasons hosting. The imposing board room where he famously fired contestants was a set, because his real boardroom was too old and shabby for TV. At NBC, we promoted the show relentlessly. Thousands of 30-second promo spots that spread the fantasy of Trump’s supposed business acumen were beamed over the airwaves to nearly every household in the country. The image of Trump that we promoted was highly exaggerated. In its own way, it was “fake news” that we spread over America like a heavy snowstorm. I never imagined that the picture we painted of Trump as a successful businessman would help catapult him to the White House. I discovered in my interactions with him over the years that he is manipulative, yet extraordinarily easy to manipulate. He has an unfillable compliment hole. No amount is too much. Flatter him and he is compliant. World leaders, including apparently Russian strongman Vladimir Putin and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, have discovered that too. I also found Trump remarkably thin-skinned. He aggressively goes after those who critique him and seeks retribution. That’s not very businesslike – and it’s certainly not presidential. This week, he threatened to use the National Guard against Americans who oppose him, calling them the “enemy from within.” …<<

    Season Over for Rashid Shaheed

Shred is practically a folk legend in Nola. What a shame. But also I don’t think guys that size are really built to be WR1s, not to mention the added pounding of punt & kick returns.

Dynasty: Malik Nabers is better than Marvin Harrison Jr

Nabers & Thomas both from LSU, just like Jefferson & Chase. Problem is instead of playing with Cousins/KOC & Burrows they’re stuck with NYG/Jones & Jax/Lawrence.

Twitter adopts 'poison pill' to prevent Elon Musk takeover

This includes Saudis, Russians, pedophile Sean Combs, as well as Wall Street institutional investors, tech investors like Akerman, and many others. Jack Dorsey is still an owner. As the article states it's unknown what Musk's share is.

Yes, he reports to the people who pay him money, just like everyone else. Quite a list too.

Ah yes billionaires only invited to comment on the man who’s tanked twitter.
  21. To which part? The relationship & breakup. The knowledge of what Epstein was about. How Don met Mel Knauss.

Twitter adopts 'poison pill' to prevent Elon Musk takeover

The main thing is the blocker doesn’t want to see the block-ee, right? So long as that’s unchanged no big deal. But Musk continues to make bafflingly poor business decisions on the platform. The guy already is faced with dwindled company value & real users fleeing the platform. People want to curate their timeline, & this is just makes it harder. And politically the people who dredge up old posts are typically liberal journos & bloggers. This only helps them.
  23. Actually IMO on the whole Republican voters will suffer more.
