New England Patriots- 1st team since 1983 to lose when…
SaintsInDome2006 replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
That would not have happened to Belichick. -
The police recovered the hammer at the scene. DePape confessed on the stand. Pelosi said it was a hammer. But as I understand it the shadowy people who framed Epstein as a suicider also convinced DePape to lie on the stand, convinced all the police who did and could've testified, and the prosecutors to say otherwise.

Fashionable foreigners exposing Ohioans to new culinary experiences
SaintsInDome2006 replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
Something which IMO is really crazy from a purely political strategy standpoint: Springfield OH is Republican run, with a Republican mayor, and ordinarily it would be featured by an Ohio Senator and a GOP presidential nominee as a Republican success story. The town was with its revamped economy and university an example of what small town America could be. It's bizarre that the GOP has completely rejected that whole line of argument. The Republican officials in Springfield are so upset by the tact that some have stated they will not be voting for Trump at this point. -
Hammer. But yes both were assassination attempts. In both cases the targets were not where expected, thank god.
-
Actually, you're right. It wasn't a plot (unless one person can plot, I just meant it was planned). I'll edit that out.
-
They're both assassination attempts.
-
I would buy Diontae Johnson. Dalton can run an offense.
-
Actually the point is that Trump just a week ago (and as the OP discussed previously) mocked the assassination plot attempt against the ex-Speaker. Political violence, including extolling or encouraging or mocking it, is pernicious and dangerous.
-
I'm sure. My experience with IT is they're good people.

At trial, Pelosi testified that he awoke from sleep to find DePape with a hammer already in his home. DePape, asked where his wife was. - DePape confirmed this version of events, including that he breached the wall and broke in. The whole point of the trial was about DePape's motive and his state of mind.
-
I'm sorry man. IT folks who handle this go through a lot, it's tough. Take care.
-
Ok, so DePape's family and loved ones have been paid, I take it, millions, by the real attackers. And DePape was just there I take it. And he decided he would choose to be in jail for the rest of his life. - All right, thank you for answering.
-
Ok, I understand, Epstein's murder(s) also erased DePape's memory and installed new memories. Plausible.

I have to say this is not the weapon I was expecting. -
So what is your working theory on why DePape did not tell the jury about any of this - the supposed affair, being let in voluntarily, the cocktails, the cover-up - when he testified at his own trial?

So we now know Routh was using a "a loaded SKS-style rifle with a scope... The serial number on the rifle was obliterated". -

I wouldn't try, I'm in favor of enforcing the INA. It still doesn't affect what we know about how Routh got the gun. We know the serial number is removed, that leaves open a lot of possibilities. -
I too sleep well when under the influence. If anything that confirms he didn't get up to let anyone in.
-
And the defendant - facing a lifetime in jail & who testified - simply didn't tell the jury this, but instead confessed to breaking in. I see.
-
You'd think the defendant would have raised that at his trial yet he didn't. Paul Pelosi was asleep when he was awoken by the attacker, who had broken into the home.

It's ok if you don't know. Take care. Thanks for the responses. -

The Second Amendment ("right to bear arms")
SaintsInDome2006 replied to IGotWorms's topic in The Geek Club
I’m not arguing about how guns are ordered online. I’m talking about the actual guns used in 2 attempts to assassinate a presidential candidate. IIRC Crooks got his gun from his father. Routh, who appears to be a lunatic & had multiple conversations, apparently was using a gun banned from sale in the US altogether, how did he get it? -

Thanks. How about Crooks, do we know what actual make/model he used? TIA. -

>>>A member of the Oath Keeperswho took an AR-15-to a Virginia hotel on the eve of the Jan. 6 riot described entering a room filled with a large stash of weapons in a seditious conspiracy trial Wednesday. The Oath Keepers member, Terry Cummings, testified that "a lot of firearms cases" were in the hotel room when he dropped off his weapon at a Comfort Inn in Arlington, Virginia, on Jan. 5, 2021. “I had not seen that many weapons in one location since I was in the military,” Cummings said.<<< https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna51749 - Actually you raise another good point.
