It’s a good response, but you’re kind of agreeing with me here. Frankly I don’t feel like diagnosing and splitting Trump’s weird oleo of disturbing statements & behaviors so I can slot them into different threads. When he claims 300 million Americans died from drugs last year, am I supposed to put that in the liar thread, the manipulative authoritarian thread, the thread on his lack of qualifications, or his senility/cognitive decline thread? The medications reference is to the OMB/GSA IG report that came out about the crazy medications & narcotics going through the White House during his administration. The PTSD reference is about him being the victim of an assassination attempt. Just IMO but most people would need years of therapy after going through something like that.

IMO this has been going on since 2015. He’s a unique psychological and emotional mess, narcissistic, undereducated & appears completely unable to absorb or tolerate briefings much less read actual reports. OTOH some of this stuff seems like old man losing his brain cells. He’s quick to anger when challenged & his propensity for making up absurd claims could genuinely be senility. He also appears to be on a cocktail of medications & he might have PTSD. To top it all off he’s never submitted a genuine medical record to anyone. Seriously pick your poison as to any of these.

I don’t know when the first corruption investigation took place - maybe the 1920s? - but yes officials from both parties have investigated officials from the other party as well as their own countless times. There’s nothing inherently wrong as long as there is a firewall between the executive & prosecutors/investigators & as long as procedures guaranteeing that are followed.
