It's a country club whose operation is contingent on a covenant with the government of Palm Beach County, so its worth is totally hinged on its value as just that, a historic seaside property with outdated decor and limited use. My guess is maybe ~$20 million on that basis, especially considering the lack of buyers for country clubs. The covenant has other restrictions, for example, that the owner cannot live on the property. Trump gets around that by being employed as the club manager but I doubt other people who might buy the club would want to engage in that kind of subterfuge or take on actual management. Again I only mention that because it limits the value of the property.

Buddy, no. Same kid. -
No, not a one. It's a tough life being a hermit in Outer Mongolia.

Second page and not a single post with information or a link about what's happening. Remarkable.

I'm not into schadenfreude, but I do think public officials should be investigated and prosecuted for corruption whenever possible. By IG's, special prosecutors, DA's, USA's, Congress, legislators. However, whenever. And I believe in public records laws. The Trump prosecution stands on its own and his company was fairly and rightly convicted.

Fwiw it's Hegseth's top aide who just got marched out of the Pentagon. -
I don't know thing 1 about this right now but if SOL has run that's highly relevant.

It's an open question how Baby's comment could be slotted. I was referring to the transitional reference. But sure, maybe it's more Rohm's ilk about consuming the nation to save it. -

This is confusing. Fella above says 'hey dictatorship is great!' I've got zero beef with you. -

Yes, communism generally ends really well for everybody. -
So aren't you all scared of the pending dictatorship and having all your rights taken away?

This is the old communist trope about how the dictatorship was just transitional. -
LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs
SaintsInDome2006 replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
It's fine, just a matter of opinion I guess. But yes I do view Biden as better qualified in every way - education, knowledge, ability to understand and retain briefing, emotional stability, and psychological profile. I do agree that Trump has more energy, that is definitely obvious, but he uses it for deceptive or inaccurate or abusive or longwinded or nonsensical or evasive answers in those same interviews you mention. IMO presidents, like Biden but as they always have, except for Trump, should state briefed positions on matters that reflect consistent government policy. -

Well for one thing, Trump was required to take a cognitive test while Biden was not. For another Trump's speech, ability to relate ideas, his ability to pronounce and say specific words, his memories, and his emotional qualities are all poor. He's emotionally unstable for starters and I don't even think that piece is related to his age. -

Honestly, probably not, but I'll also admit to having not seen it. I think the problem for Trump is that he had his doctor create a false medical report. His WH doctor was someone he basically personally promoted to Congressman. And the WH has constantly refused all public inquiries as to his Covid treatments, his prolonged stay at Walter Reed while president, and his medical reports from the WH physician have been comical. Biden regularly produced actual medical records from his time from VP and otherwise. We do know Trump was required to undergo a cognitive test, which makes him worse off in that department than Biden was. -
