Just to preface - the national guard is in my city, has been for a while & it’s come here before for a number of reasons including high crime. In fact the NG was here when we had a terrorist attack in the Quarter. What confounds me is if the TN governor (presumably GOP) thinks Memphis PD needs help (I’ve spent time there, it is indeed dangerous) then he could have just sent the NG himself. Totally bizarre.

That’s my point. Does anyone know if he’s done a jailhouse confession? Even if so you don’t go straight to the pen & death row.

That was a really weird dog & pony show last night in retrospect. They didn’t show closeups of the hat, shirt & shoes. Fox reported last night the DOJ & UT prosecutors were already preparing affidavits (on what if there was no suspect). Netanyahu already knew they’d captured someone. And Trump had announced he’d be on F&F the next morning.

This kid is not going to take a plea for the death penalty. He’s going to put up a defense and he is going to say some things.
