I don’t mean physical or literal pain of course, but emotional or mental. It’s unthinkable. How could your heart not go out a bit? Or let’s say she was just an awful person and that’s why she did it. Seems like a stretch but whatever. Think of how terrible you’d have to be and how hard that would be. I mean we’re talking borderline personality disorder or the like. And that’s a really horrible life. So anyway, have a little more sympathy for her, and understand the family is deeply hurting regardless, and the funeral is really for them.

I don’t think most people really factor foreign policy into their voting much. That’s what all the data says, anyways. The border, maybe a bit, but that’s just red meat for MAGAtards anyway. Not like they were going to vote for Biden regardless

If you take them at face value, it means voters prefer democrats over republicans generally, but reject Biden to the extent that the election is a referendum on him as president. And traditionally, with incumbents, it is. The hope is that as the election nears and reality sets in of Trump being the actual literal other choice, and people are reminded what a piece of sh1t he is, they’ll swing back towards Biden. I have my doubts but that’s the thinking. As far as why Biden is failing the referendum, it’s obviously inflation and his age. Can’t do much about either one, unfortunately

I have a funny Keanu Reeves story. There was a guy getting a ton of attention in the waiting area for a plane that we caught a connection on through LAX. Everyone was obviously watching him but trying to act cool. I had been sorta oblivious but my fiancée (who doesn’t much follow movies or celebrities) told me “that guy over there looks exactly like Keanu Reeves.” So I looked and sure enough, everybody was atwitter over this guy. I knew it wasn’t Keanu Reeves but he did kinda look like him but also very obviously familiar as someone else.
