You don’t want deflation, that is very bad. So saying it’s up 3.5% on the 9% is the wrong way of looking at it. You want it at about 2%-3% but you don’t want to go backward, well not unless your goal is severe economic downturn? No I am not worried about it. I was 2-3 years ago, if it did not come down. But it did. There is probably just a tiny bit further to go. At least that’s what the fed says. But that just means we’re a little off the ideal, not that it’s a five alarm fire. To give you some perspective, it was 13.5% in 1980 and stayed high basically thought the entire 70s and early 80s. That is a problem.

Yup, like I said, global issue brought on by pandemic relief measures, which under US were started by Trump (and rightfully so), which then hit their fever pitch at 9% in mid-2022, and has come down considerably since.
