Dumb move, he’s not that good

It’s possible. Your issue is you take it as the gods honest truth without a shred of actual evidence. It’s also weird you single out democrats. Bottom line you’re just a Trumper troll, because if you really believed this stuff you’d blame everyone and, no, you’re not actually stupid enough to believe Trump is some kind of savior.

Homeowners draining 401k accounts to pay mortgages.
IGotWorms replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Yeah probably. I mean obviously the more my house is worth, the better. But if I sold I’d have to buy into an inflated market too. So it’s pretty much a wash unless you are downsizing in retirement or something, and sadly I am not there yet. Plus it is bad for the working class and the younger generation. I do think it’s unfortunate that many of them are effectively barred from home ownership or, at the very least, it is much more of an uphill scramble right now. -
Yeah this is where I question the murder conspiracy. His deposition testimony as is could probably be used in court since he is now “unavailable” to testify. So offing him would not help much there. Now it’s not as compelling to read it in court versus having a good witness there actually testifying, but on the other hand he also cannot be cross-examined in court so I don’t think it’d be a good thing for Boeing. So only reasons I could see are 1) to deter others from coming forward, 2) because the guy had more to testify to that would’ve been more damning, but I consider this less likely, 3) the guy was holding back but they couldn’t be sure he’d continue to do so, or 4) some other party that was also implicated but wasn’t sued in that case wanted him silenced (because his deposition testimony probably could not be used in a trial against the other party). This last one may be a real possibility. So it’s still fishy for sure but it’s not like the guys testimony couldn’t still be used against Boeing.

Wouldn’t make it any less dumb, but I’m sure you know that. -

Have you ever been to a planet fitness? Mutants are basically their target market

Well you can’t go around snapping pictures of people in the locker room without their consent. That’s just obvious. Now whether the transgender person should also be in trouble is a different question and leads us back into the whole bathroom debate, which has been covered ad nauseum.

They don’t have to be totally obscure, but what’s a band you like that most people have probably never heard of? For me, one of them is The Weakerthans. A Canadian indie rock group out of Winnipeg doing their stuff in the early to mid aughts, when I was still a relatively young man.

Can’t wait to see them hauling those gold toilets out of Trump tower

It’s actually worse than that. It’d be hard for anyone to come up with $454 million cash in a relatively short period of time, even if he is as rich as he claims. But the issue here is no one will even insure him for it. So even with the opportunity of collecting considerable interest and the possibility that the verdict or judgment amount is overturned, still not one company out there believes Trump can eventually make good on this.

He seems okay when not posting about politics. Unfortunately 98% of his posts are political

Boy that’s a pretty bad list, when you put it that way -
The religious right is flirting with trying to roll back gay rights. For example: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2024/02/20/alito-jurors-homosexuality-sin/72672733007/ As for saying you don’t “hate” them, that can be a bit of a dodge. At least weepaws is up front in saying he doesn’t hate them but he does believe they’re going to hell and is, presumably, against gay marriage. Other people say no we don’t hate them but what they’re not stating is that they do think they’re sinners and don’t support gay rights.

Thanks for proving my point!

Since you bring up context, he was also defending the January 6 perpetrators as patriots and talking about the end of the country. https://www.businessinsider.com/bloodbath-donald-trump-rally-civil-war-bernie-moreno-2024-3?amp So I don’t know exactly what he meant, but you do get more benefit of the doubt if you don’t peddle dark and violent conspiracies to begin with and if you haven’t already attempted an insurrection after losing the last election

Well they weren’t that far off. All you have to do is transpose the 5 and the 2. Well and then divide by ten. And they’re not illegal. But otherwise, spot on -
