I agree it’s possible, just wouldn’t put it high up the likelihood ladder. Mostly just because there’s millions of other places it could’ve been done that would’ve been just as effective but far less risky

May not be straight Italian mobster but this could be a pretty high level hitman. The degree of difficulty was quite substantial. Focking right there on the street in midtown Manhattan with every law enforcement agency in the country immediately on your trail. So why do it? To make a very public point and extremely pointed threat to any other witness or whatever. And yeah, definitely foreigner. Which is how he fit in at that hostel so well.

I’m with you. I think the gun jamming is especially key. No way your average person deals with that correctly in the moment. I don’t care how good you are with firearms, you’re going to be scared AF and will not be able to cope in that split second. Unless you have done this before. So that tells me professional. Guess it could be ex military or whatever instead of hitman, but definitely well trained and experienced. There are some people saying no it’s not a hitman because he did get his face on camera at one point (might not have been good enough for facial recognition though) and he dropped a cell phone. Plus the backpack and stuff. But a) I am not convinced that the cell phone etc wasn’t conveniently left or found to pin this on some lone wolf type and b) so far the evidence has led nowhere.
