    Who Still Trusts Breece Hall?

He was a good call when you thought Aaron Rodgers would be the QB. Not so much with Zach Wilson and whatever retreads they try to replace him with

Some conservatives want to ban no-fault divorce

They want to be able to own them. Go back to the day when women were chattels. That way they can’t so easily leave their asses

My Week 13 NFL Power Rankings

There aren’t 32 better than him, but there’s easily 15-20. And that’s just not going to get you very far

My Week 13 NFL Power Rankings

Interesting conundrum. He’s not the guy but he’s played well enough this year that it’d be hard to justify casting him aside

No Maye or Williams for NE? Marvin Harrison Jr would be a great consolation prize but who’s going to throw it to him? Maybe you could get a Kirk cousins or something but they need a long term centerpiece to rebuild around

    Nikki Haley in 2024!

The codification claim is dumb. Republicans could’ve repealed it as soon as they had the majority back. It’s far more difficult to overturn a Supreme Court ruling, though they did manage to do that. Only thing more ironclad would’ve been a constitutional amendment, but that’s damn near impossible (and probably for good reason).

Some conservatives want to ban no-fault divorce

I think most of you are not grasping the point of this thread. You can argue about whether people should put more thought into getting married, or whether they should try harder to stay together when things get tough, etc, etc. What these conservatives, including speaker Johnson, are saying is, you should not be legally allowed to get divorced without sufficient reason. And that is insane

Exactly. Some of these motherfockers are straight up loonies

    Nikki Haley in 2024!

“America First” is a meaningless slogan. You mean isolationism. And I don’t think that’s possible in today’s world

    Nikki Haley in 2024!

She is certainly a more traditional “establishment” type. Kind of hard to imagine the republicans going back to that, but someday there *will* be a post-Trump party, if only due to the passage of time

*** Happy Football Day Week 12***

They seem to be calling grounding quite a bit more these days. I think it’s to somewhat counterbalance the fact that you can’t actually hit a QB anymore

    Nikki Haley in 2024!

Late last month, Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, got an unexpected call from Jamie Dimon, the chief executive of JPMorgan Chase. Mr. Dimon said he was impressed by Ms. Haley’s knowledge of policy details and her open-minded approach to complex issues raised in the Republican presidential race, according to a person familiar with what they discussed. Keep it up, he told her. He wasn’t the only business heavyweight to say so. In recent weeks, a number of chief executives, hedge fund investors and corporate deal makers from both parties have begun gravitating toward Ms. Haley and, in some cases, digging deeper into their pockets to help her. Her ascent in the polls and strong debate performances have raised hopes among Republicans hungering to end the dominance of former President Donald J. Trump that maybe, just maybe, they have found a candidate who can do so. “I’m a long way from making my mind up — something could change — but I’m very impressed with her,” said Kenneth G. Langone, the billionaire Home Depot co-founder, who has donated to Ms. Haley’s campaign and is considering giving more. “I think she’s a viable candidate. I would certainly like her over Trump.” Here’s a link so that cranky bish @Strike can complain it’s behind a paywall https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/24/us/politics/nikki-haley-trump-2024.html
  22. I think they probably knew that but it’s a really tough call when you’ve got the second-winningest coach in NFL history
  23. Krafts will be motivated for a quick turnaround. Don’t know if they’ll succeed, but they’ll try
  24. His drafts from 2019-2021 were absolutely atrocious. Jury is still out on the last two years but I’d say those were mediocre at best. Some terrible free agent signings too. Johnnu Smith, Smith-Schuster, etc
  25. I’ve already been told I look like a tall hobbit, from back when we had the pic thread
