I didn’t say they did, dummy. I said the idea that Israel can do whatever they want because Hamas did horrible things is problematic, dipsh1t.

    Candy You DONT like

I don’t like candy stuffed full of toxic metals YONKERS, NY – Consumer Reports is calling on Hershey’s to step up its efforts to reduce the levels of toxic heavy metals from its chocolate products after its latest tests found the company’s cocoa powder, popular for hot chocolate and holiday baking, had concerning levels of lead. Hershey’s milk chocolate, an iconic Halloween treat, had the highest levels of lead in CR’s tests. Last year, CR found that a number of Hershey’s dark chocolate bars had some of the highest levels of lead or cadmium of all brands it tested. In March, Hershey’s chief financial officer told Reuters that the company “continue to look for opportunities” to reduce levels of heavy metals in its dark chocolate, but no firm commitments have been announced since that time. In May, CR delivered more than 75,000 petition signatures from consumers urging the company to take action in light of the dark chocolate test results. CR has launched a new petition calling on Hershey’s to reduce heavy metal levels in all of its chocolate products. “Toxic levels of heavy metals like lead and cadmium shouldn’t be found in our favorite chocolate products,” said Brian Ronholm, director of food policy at Consumer Reports. “Our tests have found that other brands have succeeded in producing chocolate products with lower levels of heavy metals that are safer for consumers. As a leading and popular brand, it’s time for Hershey’s to make a firm, time-bound commitment to get dangerous levels of heavy metals out of its chocolate products.”

    War in Israel

This siege on Gaza is close and probably does qualify. No water, no food, no electricity, place sealed off, bombing apartment buildings left and right … I mean you’d have to be willfully blind to not see it. And to some extent, they were going to “get” to do that based on what Hamas did. But also, eventually they will have gone too far, and the question is, where’s that line.

You can’t pick based on a supposedly empty seat by you. There is always a significant chance of somebody getting it last minute, or a standby passenger, or somebody just taking it like that guy did. You pick based on the merits of the particular seat itself

    Lamar Jackson blows chunks.

Exactly. They’ve never trusted him to throw, because he’s very mediocre at it. Mobile QBs lose that edge pretty early. Plus with many years under his belt now and hundreds of millions of dollars, I’m sure Lamar is not that interested in getting walloped ten times a game.

    War in Israel

There is no comparison. I agree. Your point is irrelevant. The question is, how should the United States and Israel govern themselves? And if you think it’s okay to act like Hamas because Hamas does, whoo boy that is a very troublesome viewpoint

Agreed, hate that sh1t where people try to make their own poor planning your problem

Issue is the “premium” seats are in front and the overhead bins would be filled, thereby enraging the “premium” passengers. Really the whole mess was started with this tier bullsh1t, but that’s here to stay

    United Airlines

Yeah, if they have the overhead bin capacity to accommodate everyone, then this should make the whole process more efficient. Though in my experience, it seems like the boarding process is rarely an actual holdup

    War in Israel

I don’t think anyone is suggesting moral equivalence, or at least I know I’m not. The issue is genocide and indiscriminate killing of civilians is bad. Has Hamas done this and would they do it again? Yes, of course. But that doesn’t mean Israel and, essentially, the United States, should engage in it either. We lose our moral high ground and give cover to those who would commit such atrocities. That’s my concern.

That’s a fair question and the main reason why I, personally, am not *against* the response, though I do have concerns

As I understand they’re giving names and ID numbers. I guess it could still be false but it’s not like some estimate they’re pulling out of their butts: https://apnews.com/article/israel-hamas-war-gaza-health-ministry-health-death-toll-59470820308b31f1faf73c703400b033 UN thinks it’s a good faith effort. And the Israelis are ensuring no one can independently assess, which should concern you.

  17. We’ll see what they do. Mostly I’ve just tried to teach them not to be fockin’ assh0les. Since being an enormous d1ck seems to be the main feature of the modern republican platform, I expect that they won’t vote for the Rs, but you never know what they’re gonna do, and that’s for them to decide

    RIP Matthew Perry

Sounds like it might’ve been an OD? CNN — The cause of actor Matthew Perry’s death at his residence Saturday will require additional investigative steps by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office before reaching a conclusion, according to records from the agency. The medical examiner updated its online record for Perry on Sunday afternoon, listing his cause of death as “deferred.” “In cases where the cause of death cannot be determined at the time of autopsy, a deferred certificate will be issued until additional studies have been completed,” according to the LA coroner’s guidelines. The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating Perry’s death, but a law enforcement source told CNN that no foul play is suspected. On Sunday, the medical examiner’s records indicated the actor’s remains were ready to be released to his next of kin.

I wouldn’t take Hamas’ word for it, but you see the destroyed apartment buildings and so forth from all the Israeli strikes. Can’t tell me there isn’t some significant collateral damage there. I don’t know what the answer is but definitely, yes, kids are dying there
  20. I worry about that with my kids playing hockey. Or a line drive to the chest in baseball. But I dunno, not much you can do about it I guess, except remind yourself of the odds. Should definitely be much more terrified of when they start to drive
