He has been getting a lot of targets for a change, but I don’t think it can be relied upon going forward. For one thing, he basically fumbled away that Bills game. Patriots were ahead and probably heading for victory when he coughed it up in their own territory and allowed the Bills to take the lead. Without that last second touchdown to Gesicki that was a loss and solely on Bourne’s shoulders. Which could maybe be forgivable except he always does sh1t like that. You see the talent and think this guy could be a player, then he immediately proceeds to fock up or disappear. Beyond that, obviously they like Douglas and if Mac could stop leading him into certain concussions then he’s probably the guy to have from NE, if there are any pass catchers to roster at all.

Yes it’s pretty bad. Number one, obviously, you have people fairly high up in the conspiracy who are now going to testify against you. But what makes this especially bad is any questions of privilege are almost certainly out the window. Before Trump could’ve argued that communications with the attorneys were privileged and could not be used against him at trial. But there is the crime-fraud exception, and now that the attorneys themselves have admitted guilt to a crime, it seems like pretty much a slam dunk that the exception will apply and the privilege has been destroyed. Very bad. If this were your typical defendant they’d be completely dead to rights. But Trump does always manage to escape consequences so you can’t discount that.

I don’t love him, mostly because I think he’s a deeply naive fool. I mean obviously he’s a smart and successful guy, but here he is in 2023 saying he’s shocked, shocked!, at the depth of the depravity to which the Republican Party has fallen. When it’s been patently obvious since at least the “tea party” movement thirteen years ago. How dumb would you have to be? But he does seem like a man of character, and I do respect that.
