I watched the movie Watcher, because I’ve got a thing for Maika Monroe. Seemed like she was heading for big things after It Follows but that never quite materialized. Anyway, it was good. Slow and almost boring at times, but worth it overall. Well directed. Had a bit of a #metoo element that I can’t decide if it was superfluous or necessary

It’s an interesting issue. Not really a First Amendment thing because nobody is saying the police should arrest these students or that they should be literally prohibited from speaking. But just because the government can’t restrict your free speech doesn’t mean you can’t face a huge backlash for things you willingly put under your name. So I guess it’s really a civil issue as to whether the folks calling out these students are defaming them or the like — and I have to say, not likely.
