Mostert can be a very good player at times, of course, but he has never once put together a bell cow season in his career. He simply can’t do it. Barkley, we know, has been capable of that. I would lean toward Barkley for that reason, but I wouldn’t fault anyone who chose Moster. Miami obviously has something special going and if it holds and mostert stays healthy he could blow the doors off any of his prior seasons.

This would have been a championship contender with Tom Brady, no joke. Now he’s the goat so that’s not a fair measuring stick. But with a regular ol’ “good” QB, they would be at least a playoff contender, for sure

I disagree, at least on this issue. Voltaire keeps harping on this Ibrahim X guy like I’m supposed to know who he is — across multiple threads and over several days. He’s basically no different than your standard troll on this. And I’ve explained to him several times that I simply didn’t care about whatever it is that person was trying to sell. Voltaire has taken it as a given that I support this person when I don’t care. I’m definitely opposed to the white supremacists and I think the phrase “black lives matter” is true and entirely inoffensive, but beyond that I simply don’t go any further on the woke/implicit bias/anti-racism stuff. It goes too far and it’s a dumb move, politically. But Voltaire has made a false assumption otherwise, and rather than admit his mistake (we all do it here) and move on, he’s doubled down and followed me around suggesting I’m a liar or stupid. So yeah, I don’t think he’s some untouchable saint of a poster (which timscochet lectured me on) and that’s really all there is to it

They set policy and so yes, they have an impact. Enormous is likely overselling it. Prosecutors’ offices are generally filled with career types (at least for major crimes) who generally don’t change a lot from administration to administration. They might have to give lip service to this or emphasize that based on who is in office, but the gears turn mostly the same. Where do I send the bill for your lesson?
