UAW strikes at GM, Ford, Stellantis plants after no new contract reached
IGotWorms replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
Standard move by employers in these situations. Try to go around the union and get enough of the employees to side with them. Technically it’s probably illegal (unfair labor practice) but if you do it correctly you won’t get in trouble -
Agreed. Nobody’s been jumping to sign Hunt. Maybe he just wanted too much, but I dunno, I think it says something.
-
Definitely too far but probably can’t do anything about it legally. However those people should be thoroughly ostracized
-
And if that someone he grabbed hit him back, things could be different. But if some other guy took it upon himself to walk over and sucker punch him, that’s probably assault. Of course we can’t be sure what actually happened and that’ll all need to be sorted out. I just hope they look a little further than “well the m.e. said it was a medical event so golly gee I guess there’s nothing to see here”

So you’re a racist but you feel that’s okay because the data supposedly supports your position. That’s exactly what I initially said and what you have continued to affirm over and over again. -

I swear iceberg lettuce should be outlawed. It has no nutritional value whatsoever, but people think it does, and it’s a huge HUGE waste of water -
I did watch Joker last night. Somehow missed that when it came out. Man that was a good movie but disturbing and very violent. It was very effective, so much that I’m not sure I ever want to see it again!

Sounds interesting, not sure if I ever saw it

Okay, I actually agree with that. I’d like to see the standard bearer from the right demonstrating some actual personal accountability ever, even once in his entire life, but I recognize this line will become a distraction. For now, let’s just say, agreed. And that’s a big part of why I *do not* support a lot of the narrative coming out there from the left. -

I may be misunderstanding here, and I’m sure you’re right this is part of it, but I think RLLD is blaming modern Dems for getting away from separate but equal (when “the AA family was doing well”) and enacting the great society when we tried to give integration a real go. But if you got him in private, I’m sure he’d lament the days when the blacks were confined to the plantation where they had everything provided for them and plenty of work to keep them occupied. Sure there were some bad slave owners but that shouldn’t distract us from the benevolent ones and the structured environment they provided for the inferior race and the beneficial skills they taught them and all that. You know, like Ron Desantis said -
Well he was definitely assaulted, right? Seems like that should be charged unless it was very clearly actual self defense or something. Now whether you can tie the death to it is a different thing. Though it seems mighty fortuitous that he just so randomly happened to have a heart attack or aneurysm or whatever at the very exact moment he was punched in the face, without the two being connected at all

Agree again but how? You got a personal accountability serum you can put in the water supply or something? -
The boundary waters are nice and obviously around Lake Superior is good as well. Personally I’d much rather live in Duluth than Minneapolis. You know, since there’s a lot more going on there geographically and more to look at. Don’t see how politics has any claim on that though

Because you are. As for further response, somebody (I think it was Gutter?), broke it down for you comprehensively earlier in the thread and I don’t believe you even bothered to respond. Because you can’t. Fact is it’s racist to believe blacks are genetically inferior and fact is you do believe that. Period. End of discussion. HTH -

Exactly. My whole point here is you can talk about all of those issues without bringing race into it at all. But many of the bored righties simply can’t do it, because they’re too invested in their identity as a member of “the superior race” -

That’s totally not responsive. And also telling because I didn’t mention you yet you take it as an attack on you. Interesting. Could it be because you actually fit into the first category I referenced — people who literally believe blacks are genetically inferior? I.e. the worst of the worst racists out there? Maybe think about that next time you’re spouting that Bell Curve hate speech -

Gutter, if I may, I think you’re missing the target slightly here. I tried to nip this in the bud with my breakdown on page one. We’ve hard these discussions many times in the last ~15 years (god I’m old ) and they pretty much always play out the same way. You’ve got your outright racists who insist that blacks are simply genetically inferior and they stick by that. The worst of the worst, if you will. Then you’ve got guys like RLLD who claim it’s not necessarily genetics (because they’re able to see how toxic that argument is), but you see it’s simply the black upbringing and culture. Which is still alarmingly racist and paternalistic, but it sounds a little better. The ultimate point, though, is that whites are still better than blacks. They still get to have their white supremacy but it sounds more palatable. So RLLD isn’t necessarily saying blacks are genetically inferior (though he will get close upon occasion), he’s just saying they are racially inferior to whites because they don’t have the good sense and upbringing of the superior race. So it’s okay, you see -
I’d live there if it wasn’t so expensive and always flooding or in a drought or on fire

It’d be hard to take out a big portion of our power grid because it’s a totally decentralized patchwork heap of junk. Which is very inefficient but does have the advantage of being invulnerable to a kill shot -
