Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday rejected Donald Trump's claim that he was the true winner of the 2020 presidential election in his most forceful comments to date on the matter. "Whoever puts their hand on the Bible on Jan. 20 every four years is the winner," DeSantis told NBC News correspondent Dasha Burns in his first broadcast network interview since he launched his presidential campaign. DeSantis continued to discuss all the ways he believed the previous presidential election was not perfect. But pressed further, he clearly stated that Trump lost. "But respectfully, you did not clearly answer that question," Burns said. "And if you can’t give a 'yes' or 'no' on whether or not he lost —" "No, of course he lost," DeSantis said, adding, "Joe Biden’s the president."

If those guys stay healthy, and there’s little indication they won’t, that’s the answer. Time was it was RBs, because they’re less dependent on their QBs. But even a serviceable QB is find these days since you can’t nail a receiver laid out for a slightly ill thrown ball. Conversely those RBs still get beat to sh1t because those are rarely high velocity hits, the sort where we gotta take a TV timeout.

What an interesting conundrum. The federal courts never allow it but maybe they should hear. People absolutely need to see it with their own eyes otherwise there will be nothing but conspiracy theories. I mean even if they see it with their own eyes there will still be conspiracy theories (see January 6 insurrection), but they’ll be far less effective.

Though a suspect has been arrested and charged in the brutal stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students in the middle of the night last fall, a series of mysteries remain about why the victims were targeted and what evidence prosecutors have against the suspect. Now the suspect, Bryan Kohberger, 28, who was a Ph.D. student in criminology at a nearby university at the time, has offered an explanation for what he was doing on the night of the killings. In a court filing this week, his lawyers suggested that he was out “driving alone” around the time that the attack occurred, in the pre-dawn hours of Nov. 13. “Mr. Kohberger has long had a habit of going for drives alone,” they wrote. Investigators have said that they used cellphone tower data to track Mr. Kohberger’s phone on the night of the killings, and obtained surveillance video that showed a white vehicle like Mr. Kohberger’s repeatedly circling around the victims’ house that night. The defense said in its filing that Mr. Kohberger’s explanation of where he traveled that night might eventually be corroborated by witnesses and experts. Pretty weak “alibi,” but I guess it’s all they’ve got. They must figure they cannot exclude or disprove the cell phone tracking.
