That’s true of private citizens, but these are cops, so they may have had a duty to rescue (who else would) but also a duty to stop others from trying (since the cops should’ve been the ones doing it)

I like him. He’s smart and articulate, and I appreciate his positive message. I don’t like Trump’s brand of politics at all but traditional conservatism still has some good points and he makes them well. I also don’t like The View idiots lazily trying to portray him as an Uncle Tom type. They ought to be better than that

Agreed, this’ll be solved by bodycam footage. Allegations aren’t great (stopping others from trying to help) but you gotta see and understand the situation to decide if they were being prudent in trying to avoid further injury or loss of life or if they just didn’t give two focks what happened to this guy

Used to be every possession mattered, at least in the playoffs. Now it’s just jack up a 3, run down to the other end and jack up a three, and over and over and over again. The stakes seem low and whichever team is shooting better that night wins by 20 or more. Now I’m actually willing to accept that this could be because players are simply better these days. Patrick Ewing wasn’t jacking up a 3. Charles Oakley wasn’t shooting no treys. Even later on, KG wasn’t a sharpshooter, obviously Shaq wasn’t a threat from downtown, Chris Bosh wasn’t doing that until late in his career… but now every guy can do it, and since the metrics say that’s all you should do, that’s all they do, and it’s boring and doesn’t feel very competitive even if the players are super duper highly skilled.

Payton kinda seems suspect, tbh. Don’t forget that whole bounty hunting scandal. Gregg Williams got slapped the hardest, but that was Sean Payton’s team

He’s “spending” it but goes to some shadowy LLCs that are registered out of a fockin Staples in some strip mall somewhere. Basically sounds like a money funneling thing for him and probably others too. But hey, if he actually had a chance maybe things would change
