Must sees: - grand prismatic - upper geyser basin (do the whole boardwalk loop) - lower geyser basin (awesome in the evening) - mud volcano area - Lamar valley - west thumb geyser basin - artist point Tips: - go to the main sights early in the morning or late afternoon/evening to avoid crowds (grand prismatic, upper geyser, artist point especially) — may not be as critical if you’re going in September - three or four days probably sufficient if you pack em with sightseeing - trout lake and storm point were my two favorite hikes we did there, and not too difficult Can’t say much on where to stay. We had campgrounds reserved, but I think you’re gotta do that way in advance if you want to stay in the park. Otherwise probably gotta look for places right outside the park
