Yeah this “mean tweets” stuff is bullsh1t. I mean, he did drag this country into the sh1thole gutter where he lives. He made it okay for losers and hacks like MTG and Boebert to say awful and stupid sh1t and disrupt any effort at actual governance and decorum. He emboldened the many hateful racists and bigots out there. He’s dragged us down as a society and made us base and coarse. And I do hate him for that. But also, his actions and policies. We’ll start with the treasonous act of asking Russia and China to help him in a domestic election. Of trying to blackmail the Ukraine into creating dirt on his domestic political opponents. Of trying to bully and threaten state leaders into overturning election results. Of putting together fake slates of electors to try to overthrow the election. Of leading a mob to sack the Capitol and try to kill his own vice president. Of getting convicted of multiple felonies. Of being indicted on many other, far more serious charges. Of being found liable for sexual assault. Yes that all happened. Deal with it. (Hell I’m probably forgetting a bunch of sh1t too and we haven’t even gotten into his historical dirtbaggery such as with the Trump University scams and his multiple bankruptcies where he focked over all sorts of people.) And then you’ve got his policies. Appointing extreme right wing justices that will destroy the credibility of the Supreme Court and overturned a sh1t ton of bedrock, longstanding legal principles in this country (and they’re only getting started!). Eradicating a woman’s right to choose. Tax cuts for the super rich that blew up our deficit beyond all recognition. Climate change denial as we hurtle towards destruction on that front. Those are pretty big issues. Some of his other policies are more palatable. I don’t mind pushing back on trade and I’m not for open borders. And some of his policies, like the tax cuts and COVID corporate welfare handouts, have benefited me personally, but I still think their bad policy. Anyways, yeah, some of those things are just what you expect with a Republican president and that’s okay. But a lot of the rest stems from this guy being a malignant black hole narcissist that destroys everything around him. He’s always been that way. He is very charismatic but you have to understand who he is and how he operates at his core, and it’s very very bad for this country. Very bad. So, no, I don’t really give a fock about some tweets.

The list was dumb. The point of the press conference was to show he could be nimble on his feet. Kinda takes away from that when you only take questions from specific people in a precise order. I get that it was probably to avoid chaos, but we needed to see that Biden could at least halfway manage chaos.

Nobody’s lying about it. You just don’t understand what they’re saying 9% inflation was bad, that’s definitely true. But there was no Great Depression like everyone was justifiably afraid of. Pandemics can really wreck the economy, on a global scale. So you have to balance that harm with the high inflation for a bit. I think it was definitely worth it and I credit both Trump and Biden for seeing that. Now Biden might’ve gone a little far there at the end. I think that’s fair to ask. But we’re just talking about a matter of degrees at this point

Not to nitpick (because I think it does matter for the future), but it actually was transitory. People just didn’t understand what economists meant when they said that. People thought they meant prices would spike for a little bit and then return to where they were. What economists meant is that the rate of inflation would spike for a bit and then return to a normal rate, which is exactly what happened. Not that we’d go backwards. Although that last 1/2 a percent has been hard to shake.

I mean, you’re just stating how things work Do you think there should never be inflation? Basically every economist would say that’s a bad thing. Growth means inflation and we need growth.

Josh Jacobs sucked last year and he was still RB23. Zamir’s ADP is RB22. I’d say that’s about right. He probably does not represent a ton of value at his ADP but not a significant risk either.
