    June 27 Presidential debate

Dumb take. It has to be Harris because as VP she is heir apparent. That’s the deal. Now if she is truly just a sh1t candidate that might be different. But the polling has her doing better than anybody against Trump. Somebody with no baggage whatsoever might be good but there won’t be time to introduce them to the national stage.

    Kyren Williams...

I agree, although I will say — the RBBC notion seems to be based on the belief that the Rams will have to do it. Kyren is not built for bell cow duty and it showed last year. But yeah, where are the reinforcements? Corum is an unknown as a rookie and typically rookie RBs take a little bit to pick up the game, especially when they’re not a top pick. Realistically Corum is a play for 2025 and beyond. Not saying he won’t do anything this year but he’s not shoving Williams aside either. Well not unless Williams gets hurt

Very nice. Sounds like you got every angle covered. Pensions are great for you, but unfortunately you can’t really leave them behind (generally speaking). So you got the other accounts for that. Well done

    June 27 Presidential debate

Now is probably her best chance, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was a top candidate in ‘28. Remember Biden was shoved aside in ‘16 and did t get off to a hot start in ‘20 but then he got his shot (too late, unfortunately, because now he’s so fockin old, but that’s a different issue)

You got a pension as well, right? That puts you way over the top I’m sure. Congrats

    UK shifts back to normal

Sounds like the Toreys ran the place into the ground with their antigovernment ideas. We’ll probably do the same here. Won’t be as bad for us since we don’t have national healthcare etc, but the lack of public investment does manifest itself eventually. Probably will be cuts to social security and Medicare, likely Medicaid as well. Public education (though can’t get a lot worse for higher education at least). Infrastructure was really aided by Biden getting that done, but I’m sure we’ll slide back into deferred maintenance there. Probably did buy ourselves a couple decades in that area though so at least there’s that

I dunno, apparently he’s peeling off blacks left and right. Must be something about him that they like. I can’t figure out what it is for the life of me, but I ain’t black so I guess I wouldn’t know

Report - Will Biden not seek reelection

One of America’s political parties has a presidential candidate who is really old and showing it. The other has a presidential candidate who is a convicted felon, adjudicated sexual abuser, business fraudster and self-described aspiring dictator for a day. And also really old. One of the parties is up in arms about its nominee and trying to figure out how to replace him at the last minute. The other is not. The spectacle of the week since the nationally televised debate between President Biden and former President Donald J. Trump has thrown into sharp relief two political parties that agreed to be led by flawed putative nominees whose vulnerabilities have become even more painfully apparent just months before the election. But the distinction of recent weeks has been striking. After Mr. Trump was found guilty of 34 felonies by a Manhattan jury in May — a verdict that came after civil judgments against him for personal and professional misdeeds — there was no significant groundswell within the Republican Party to force him out of the race in favor of a less-tainted candidate. Even though many Republican officeholders and strategists privately loathe him, they fell in line and made clear they would stick with him no matter how many scandals piled up. Until last week, Democrats had also resigned themselves to a candidate many considered far from ideal. Mr. Biden and his allies had effectively squelched any internal dissent, forcing Democrats to stay quiet despite fears that his age would ultimately undercut his campaign. After last week’s debate showcased concerns about his mental sharpness, however, the conspiracy of silence was broken. Suddenly, a wide swath of Democrats concluded that he was no longer viable and mounted an effort to pressure him to step aside for a younger candidate. “While Biden had the worst debate performance in all of presidential history, Trump’s was likely the second-worst,” said Jeffrey A. Engel, director of the Center for Presidential History at Southern Methodist University. “Yet we hear crickets from Republicans after their presumptive nominee was incoherent, rambling and utterly divorced from the truth. Oh, and also a convicted felon.”

    Fingered

You guys are dummies. She did it the other way around too. Yes, an equal opportunity finger blaster. I think she was just indicating that they understood the other candidate wanted to offer a rebuttal and that they would be coming back to them. Anyway. No need for conspiracy theories since Biden got his focking ass beat anyway

    This economy is so bad

CNN — Road trips are not going to break the bank this Fourth of July. GasBuddy projects the national average price for regular gas will stand at $3.49 a gallon on Independence Day. That’s a penny shy of the price a year ago and down sharply from $4.79 two years ago when oil prices spiked after Russia invaded Ukraine. Adjusted for inflation, US gas prices are almost exactly where they were in July 2018, according to federal data. That’s from today. Whoopsadaisy

    This economy is so bad

Economy is gangbusters. If Biden was 20 years younger he’d be winning this thing 60/40. But instead he aged ten years in the last one. Oh well, Trump will have another go-around I guess. Bottom line we’re a dead empire anyway

Report - Will Biden not seek reelection

It’ll be interesting because it will show that they’ll b1tch and whine and moan about anybody with a D next to their name. Which we all know is true, but usually you don’t see it play out so close in time. And the democrats certainly do it too, though not so much with conspiracy crap. That’s mostly just a MAGA thing

Report - Will Biden not seek reelection

When I heard they were pitching an interview, I assumed it would be live and in a not friendly setting. That’s where he sh1t the bed, so if he wants a do over it’s gotta be a pretty similar setup. A taped interview with a DNC media plant doesn’t answer anything.
