A ten point swing would mean a Reagan/Mondale type victory for Trump. That probably won’t happen but a lasting 3-4 point swing is enough to completely doom Biden. I won’t vote for him. He is not competent to do the job. Neither is Trump, but for different reasons. So I guess I’ll be writing somebody in (because no fockin way RFK Jr is competent either). Yeah I know it’s a waste of a vote. Blame the Democratic Party and Biden for putting us in this position.

Haha, you probably are stupid enough to take that as fact

If Trump becomes president...tell us the bad things he will do

https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/353533-trump-administration-backs-20-week-abortion-ban/ https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/16/us/politics/trump-abortion-ban.html There’s more. He’s also bragged about killing roe v wade In typical Trump fashion he’s said contradictory stuff too, so who knows where he really stands and what he’ll really do. But he followed through on killing Roe so I think it’d be wise to believe he might do a federal ban -

Well Trump has said he’ll do plenty of alarming stuff. Tariffs that could be catastrophic for the economy and drive up prices more than inflation ever did. Detention camps for migrants and troops hunting them down. Abortion bans. Won’t defend allies if he thinks they haven’t spent enough on defense. Get rid of half of federal workers and install only loyalists as the other half. Engage in revenge and retribution for perceived wrongs against him. More big tax cuts for the rich. Then of course you have the insanity of Project 2025: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025 So I mean, if you take him at his word, and the word of the think tanks that will make up his administration, it’s pretty bad. I’m trying to resign myself to it though, because he will win. Hopefully they won’t really do most of what they say they intend to do -
No sh1t, bro

Perhaps they don’t. Not a big Kamala fan but she’s probably as good as many other options. Shapiro, Pritzker and Bashear are totally unknown nationally. Whitmer has never been vetted on this stage and really neither has Newsom. Klobuchar and Booker may come across as also-rans and/or lightweights. Really I’d say it’s her or Buttigieg that would have to be the favorites.

Agreed. People are basically drafting him on the assumption that he blows up this year. So where’s the upside?
-
Agreed with everything except the idea that Rodgers is some kind of savior. He’s 40 years old coming off a bad injury. He’ll probably be better than what they had last year but it might not be by a ton

I don’t really see what the big deal is. Granted I’ve only ever been to Austin and Dallas. But Dallas is just a giant suburb. And Austin is supposed to be super awesome but it just seemed kinda okay to me
-
Spent years there. Beautiful state. I miss it often

Stood out to me as a pretty obvious lie, and disrespectful to those who lost their lives trying to get people safely out of Afghanistan. But in Biden’s defense, he probably can’t remember 2021 at all or say Afghanistan with any coherence.

Trump was not great but it doesn’t matter. He at least appeared lucid and you could hear and generally understand the words that were coming out of his mouth. How far we’ve fallen, that this is now the benchmark

Kinda seems like a sh1thole but I’ve never actually been

Biden is no longer fit to be president. Last night’s debate exposed the lies we’ve been told.

Bill Clinton too - not that anyone cares what that creep thinks anymore. Hopefully they’re just saying that publicly and behind the scenes they’re telling Biden something different. He needs to drop out -

It’s true. No two ways about it -
I wish you were right but I think they just drank the kool aid and convinced themselves that Biden could get through this. I highly doubt there’s some huge conspiracy to get him off the ticket because there’s way too much risk that it doesn’t work and then you’ve just shot your self in the foot

Agreed. There is some chance that Brown and Worthy effectively stretch the field opening things up a bit more for kelce underneath. Mahomes has said that is the plan. But even so, I think the days of his being a transformational fantasy TE are over. It would be more reasonable to hope for a small improvement over his stats last year, but even that you certainly have to weigh against the fact that he’s another year older and has appeared to slow down a bit. I actually have him as TE5 this year, which may be too harsh, but the point is there’s no way I’m drafting him in the first 3 or 4 rounds. Or any other TE for that matter.

He started as badly as possible. It was horrific. He ended almost equally as bad, moderators were telling him “you’ve got 82 seconds left” (on a two minute answer) “is there anything you’d like to add?” And he couldn’t, because he couldn’t remember what he was supposed to say or what the issue was or probably even where he was. But yeah, for about half an hour in the middle he was meh. Hooray. It was an unmitigated disaster. Trump did lie his ass off all night and came across like a lunatic at times, so that helped, but bottom line is Biden showed he is absolutely not up for four more years. Hell he’s probably not up for today

CNN trying to fact check Trump, they can’t talk fast enough to cover all the lies
-
Kamala desperate to talk about anything BUT the debate tonight
-
Anderson Cooper taking Kamala Harris to the woodshed as she insists that Biden is fine
-
I was heartened by Biden’s performance at SOTU. But tonight, yes, proved that everything people have been saying about him is true. Period.
-
Trump was not good but Joe Biden should actually be removed from office tomorrow
-
Yep I think there will be a very significant movement to get him off the ballot

CNN: That was painful for Joe Biden. He did not do well at all
