I’m good with the rule changes. Audiences were treating these things like WWE events rather than serious political discussions. I’ll admit it can be entertaining but it hardly leads to meaningful discussion of the issues. Talking over your opponent became way too commonplace as well. The occasional well placed quip was one thing but it devolved into simply shouting each other down. I’d rather the rule changes weren’t necessary, but I think they probably are
