    As I wrote before: I DO trust all of these new polls. But I’m concerned that they will last. Right now the idea of Trump as a felon is a new thing. But as the public gets used to it I think their minds will return to more bread and butter concerns- which means inflation. We’ll see. 

    It’s a dumb question to ask if the verdict “was correct.” They should be asking if the system worked or if people respect the verdict.

    With Rittenhouse and Zimmerman, I did not think the verdict was “correct,” but I do think the system worked as it was supposed to and that those verdicts must be respected.

    I care about justice.  You don't bring charges because you hate someone.  You  bring charges because it is a fair administration of justice.   That is why I hated the trials for Rittenhouse and Zimmerman.  Those trials were not to administer justice, those trials were to punish people on the wrong political side.  Neither of those cases had any chance of success in a fair trial.  But the point was to punish those bastards because the left hated their guts by dragging them through the hell of going through a murder trial.  

    This trial got the political result because it was carefully rigged.   There is zero chance this stands up to appeal.   There were far too many errors which all favored the prosecution.

    I saw Chris Hayes on MSNBC last night and he said (paraphrasing) that no matter what the jury verdict is, this trial shows that the legal system worked and that no one is above the law. 

    Well said. Hopefully there are enough people left in this country who can still respect the verdict, whatever it may be :thumbsup:

    His tweets often indicate he’s a nutjob. Basically any right wing conspiracy he buys into. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was even into “chemtrails” and crap, that’s how nutso he can seem.

    But I dunno, it must be an act to some extent because I can’t see how he could be such a successful businessman if he really is that unhinged.
