Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

I can feel my laptop shaking from the rage on your end. Maybe go talk to somebody, mkay? You were once a good poster here, and I'm confident you can be that again.

    Matt Gaetz

You are the poosay. You saw the "fire" of a difficult election, and you chose to hide under your bed and let the fire consume you, instead of being a man and making a difficult choice. Now you are flooding this board with mindless drivel about how both candidates suck. Do us all a favor and delete your account.

Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

The receipts show that the release was intentionally delayed. Of course we don't know exactly the influence. Maybe you should take a break, Gutter. You seem quite distraught. Perhaps you can assuage your gardener that he probably won't be immediately deported?

Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

We can agree to disagree on this. IMO the announcement of the vaccine was a huge positive reaction from the populace. I don't recall any reporting prior to it that it was imminently going to happen; instead it came of as quite a (positive) surprise.

Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

Thanks. He explains, as I've postulated, that Trump is looking to bring these countries to the table. Also, the tariffs under the Marshall Plan need to be torn up. He also explained that Trump understands for an election that you need to speak in broad brushes to get your main point across. It's not dissimilar to "they're eating the cats," which was code for "we've got an illegal immigration problem." In this case, Trump doesn't want to confuse people by getting mired in the details of stuff like "well, we'll tariff this but not that, and if 51% is made in the US we won't, but we will on the components for repairs, and blah blah blah..." Trump is an idea guy, not a details guy.

Like I said, Tim has the receipts. If he doesn't care to share them at some point, I can Google around to them.

Are you saying that the release of the vaccine prior to the election would not have been a significant bump to Trump, even if it hadn't been fully distributed yet?

He explains it quite well, if you want to educate yourself. This guy seems like a winning pick:

It actually was released the week after the election, technically under Trump, but too late to help Trump win. There is some good evidence that this is not a coincidence; that a small group orchestrated the delay of the release until after the election. @TimHauckhas the receipts on this, so I'll let him provide links if he so chooses. But this is the most obvious example of the 2020 election being "stolen," but for some reason no one talks about it.

New York Times admits it was lawfare

Could be, I'm not a lawyer. But I don't know what "other than a felony complaint" means, but these were felonies.
  11. Car seat? Pffft. My brother and I just bounced around the back of the station wagon, breathing a combo of engine exhaust and cigarette smoke. I came here to say tho, and I've told this story before: There was a big teenage bully in our neighborhood, much larger than my father. The bully cut my brother's arm pretty bad with a small hatchet. My dad stormed down to the playground where the bully was sitting on his bike, arms crossed in defiance. I thought my dad was going to get killed. Instead he walked up the bully without saying a word, grabbed the front wheel of the bike, and flung it up in the air, sending the bully flying backwards onto his ass. Without breaking stride, my dad walked right up, stood over him, grabbed his shirt, pulled his face up to his, and said "if you ever touch my son again I'll kill you." I think the bully peed his pants, from the look on his face. We never had problems with him again, though.

New York Times admits it was lawfare

He is not a convicted felon until the verdict is accepted by the court at the sentencing hearing. If the case is dropped, he will not be and never have been a convicted felon. If you continue to call him that, you will look even dumber on this topic than you already do, which is a lofty achievement.

New York Times admits it was lawfare

No, that's clear, but you still don't get my message. Here, let me try a different way. If there were different differences, NY would have found a way to turn those into slightly different but still creative felonies, and you'd be here arguing that (different differences) are what's really important$#@!

New York Times admits it was lawfare

It's not me arguing it; I pasted the quote and everything. Do I wish that men in power didn't use that power to take advantage of women? Sure. Do I wish paying them hush money were a crime? Maybe. The reality is though that it hasn't been, until now, when an admitted partisan DA brought a case against the opposition party POTUS candidate, in a highly partisan district, with a unique combination of laws to create the appearance of a "felony." Like I said, you don't see it. Never have. Lots of other people did though, based on the election results.

New York Times admits it was lawfare

I was going to say in my previous post that I was confident that you will draw your Venn diagram, find the differences, and state that the differences are all that matter. The confidential docs case was similar. I had hoped to be wrong but, oh well. Like I said, I get it.

New York Times admits it was lawfare

I think it was meant as a thought experiment. But if you are asking if any politician in the history of ever has paid off concubines as hush money... Ima say yes. Bill Clinton with Paula Jones? The best is probably John Edwards though. Good read on it: https://www.businessinsider.com/john-edwards-last-presidential-candidate-charged-with-campaign-finance-violations-2023-3 This quote sums it up nicely: And that wasn't the highly biased, partisan scenario laid out in the op ed, including a DA who campaigned on getting Trump. Look, I get it, you've chugged the blue kool aid on this, and honestly think Trump should be punished for 34 felonies. It'll be particularly hard for folks like @Death and @squistionto no longer be able to call Trump a 34-time convicted felon, once the case is dismissed.

I loved this at the end: I feel like we tried to point this out to the Lefties here, but their TDS prevented them from seeing this counterargument.

MLB 2025 Hall of Fame Ballot...

I once heard the best definition of a HOFer -- can you tell the story of the game without him in it? If so, he's not a HOFer. Of the non-juicers on that list, Ichiro is the only one that fits that description to me. Maybe CC. But by that definition, you can't tell the story of the game without all the juicers who have been listed, who were the absolute best players of their times. It's long past time the HOF adds a steroids wing and add these guys. Young people should learn about this period, if for no other reason than to avoid making similar mistakes in the future.

MRI This Morning And Double Colonoscopy Next Friday

Interesting... my dad had ulcers later in life, and his drink of choice was milk and scotch (Cutty Sark, to be precise). I always thought that to be an odd combo, but maybe it helps.

Dang... Can they see that through a scan, or do they need to stick a scope back up your poop chute?

Good one. I was thinking he'd make a good villain in a Batman movie. Melonhead?

I respectfully disagree with your post. But I understand that a Leftist pseud would come to your conclusion.

"Woke" was your takeaway? Way to be introspective, guy who thinks he's smarter than me.
