McDonald's: Buy Shares On The Cheap Tomorrow
jerryskids replied to easilyscan's topic in The Geek Club
Like I said, you are a pseud who doesn't understand Trump or his allure. He winds people up! You don't get it, that's OK. You think a billionaire who could have retired is looking to incrementally add to his billions, vs. say, Obama or Biden who went from little to 8 figures. Smartz! -

As I implied earlier, you don't get Trump. He loves McD's, and it's pretty clear that Kamala never worked there (see my FICA comment above). Nitwits? Good call. He is liked by the folks that hate pseuds like you. -

I've been wondering: what do you do for a living? No need to provide personal details of course, but perhaps a general job description and industry? -
Cool then, we should be OK setting a precedent of a dood playing on the LPGA, amirite?!

I keep talking about? I'm calling you a troll, if it isn't clear. Team Kamala is apoplectic about Trump's visit to the McD's, and you are in lock step with the troll message. Somebody earlier, I think maybe @Horseman, pointed out that FICA records would point out if Kamala worked there or not. As a person who has learned more about SS than I'd ever hoped to, due to my cancer, I can assure you that the information is indeed there to prove she worked at a McD's. Yet, here we are. -

Well, the discussion with @Herbivorewas it being weird, which is what I was discussing. But... I'll follow your troll logic: why was it dumb? -
The Al Smith dinner in NYC is a white tie, roasting event for Catholic charities. Presidential candidates always attend and participate, until Kamala tonight, the first one not to do so since Mondale. I don't blame her, she can't think on her feet or be endearing/funny whatsoever. Instead she sent a creepy video. Here are some excerpts from Trump's time on stage. He totally knocked it out of the park, there can be no disagreement other than the soy boyz here. Jim Gaffigan calls out Kamala for skipping it: By comparison, here was Kamala's pathetic pre-recorded video that she sent to the event.

This was a call for a city/muni court; I don't imagine that there were any significant trials in such a jurisdiction. Also, my experience in being called the the county pool is that they've got a series of potential juries, not a single case for which they would exclusively bring people in. My guess is that they basically don't plan to call any juries in this jurisdiction for the rest of the week. I guess it's possible that they already have prospective jurors, but AZ is pretty good in my experience of calling you done with your commitment if you aren't selected for a jury on your appointed day.

Update$#@! I don't have to go. In fact, everyone called for tomorrow and Friday are released. Maybe they'll just hang all of the accused? Ya never know in AZ...

I like you Herby, so here's the deal. The MSDNC recognized that they had a very weird ticket, and decided they wanted to get out in front and try the "weird" card. Unfortunately for them, Vance dressing up as a girl for Halloween didn't strike the country as being as weird as not-quite-HC Coach 30 trips to China lies about his service and Tiananmen take gay student to Indigo Girls eyes sewn open Tim Walz. Tl;dr -- Walz is weird, and creepy. Trying to call Trump's visit to McD's "weird" is just, well, dumb. You are in a large group in the country that doesn't understand the popularity of Trump; I'm not going to try to explain it for the umpteenth time. -
Wife is making: Seared ahi edamame leftover rice Seared ahi is one of our most common meals. Tasty, healthy, yum.

This is a very interesting point. If I were on Team Kamala, I would say something like "she is not about degrading people, she is about inclusion." The reality though is what you describe in your last paragraph.

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)

Is it now? A smarter, pseud idea is that Joe Biden is putting in 16 hour days running the free world? -

Aren't you the centrist saying this time Trump will be different$#@! Bingo. Half the people in the country are voting for Trump. The other half are voting against Trump. There are a handful of outliers like @The Real timschochet and @squistion who claim to be actually voting FOR Kamala, but they are probably Russian bots. I find it odd that our resident centrists, who are so concerned about our democracy, never seem to comment on this. -
I'm pretty sure that every company I've worked for since graduating (seven, I think) has paid time off for jury duty. These range from Fortune 100 public companies to two private companies with < 100 employees (the last one probably also did the pet bereavement thing; they had a lot of pet benefits). Maybe it's the tech industry, or just generally having an "exempt" sorta professional career?

Wut? He's responding to Squissy's New Republic op ed that called it "weird" and "desperate." Apparently, New Republic didn't get the DNC memo that they have moved off of "weird" and are focusing on "HitlerFascist$#@!" It was quite organic, Trump clearly had a good time, and it's something Kamala could never do because there wasn't a teleprompter. -
Dang, that was painful to watch. But she's not Trump, wheeeee!

Funny timing, as I need to call tonight to see if I have to go in tomorrow. It's not even the REAL (county) court, it's some muni court that I'm surprised I'm in its jurisdiction. So if my memory serves from a brief time in a similar courtroom long ago (didn't pay to register a home alarm with the po-po), it will be mostly illegal aliens driving without licenses. Also, this would be my first time going since my laryngectomy. Part of me wonders if they would even consider me. I should give some thought to any special considerations I would need, if any. When I was a young salesperson, I got out of jury duty multiple times by claiming (the technically true statement) that I sold a small number of very expensive pieces of equipment, and any one day could make or break my financial situation for the year. AZ has since cracked down on such claims and requires a note from your company requesting exclusion. Had I ever gotten onto a jury that was expected to last weeks or months, I probably could have gotten out of it.

Agreed. The Left likes to legislate from the extremes on abortion. OMG, a 10 yr old hyperpubescent girl from Ohio got impregnated by her POS father, we need to let all women abort whenever they want%$#@! Is it though? Is it bad for a society that wants to continue to exist, to encourage the sanctity of life? As a libertarian, I agree with Bill Clinton: safe, legal, and RARE. It's the same way I feel about the trans stuff. I'd just as well the government not get involved with these issues. But here we are, telling women that it's cool to kill your unborn child for convenience (the vast majority of abortions). And as a bonus, we think backfilling with illegal aliens is the way to keep our house of cards going. To me, it is so obvious that this is the primary threat to our country, not Trump hanging Pence on a faux gallows. And it is just wrong, this glorification of selective abortion for convenience. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Oof. I'd stick with the severe deformity part. "Monetary burden" is a bad look.

This is a sentence I never thought I'd read.

We're talking about the same people who were fine voting for a guy with full-on dementia. and are fine that that demented guy is still POTUS.
