Went last year for our 30th anniversary for two weeks; I'm sure I posted about it here, but... Half the trip was a hiking excursion with a company called Backroads, which I highly recommend if that is your thing (they also do cycling and combo events, all of varying difficulties). Spent a day in Pisa before the trip, it was OK, one day is enough there though. Cinque Terre was beautiful and worth visiting for a day or two. The cities are built on the side of mountains, so any walking there is a bit of a workout. Italian Riviera (Santa Margarita Ligure, Portofino) was also nice; more of a chill, beachy thing without a ton to do, though. Tuscany was great if you like Chianti, winery tours, and quaint little villages with shopping and restaurants. We stayed at a castle that was beautiful. Second half of our trip were Florence and Venice, which you said you aren't interested in. 17 years ago on a separate trip we went to Rome for three days. Did all the touristy things, it was fun. Don't even think about driving in the city, tho. I'd like to hike the Dolomites. Also the wife has ancestry in Naples, and I hear that's a fun town. But having been to Italy twice, I doubt we'll go back. Next big trip will probably be South America which we've never been.

Just got back from Costco, two observations: 1. Saw an 8-ish yr old girl walking with Beats headphones on. They seemed kinda small, do they have kid size? If not, I'm not sure about the size for an adult. 2. Costco had the same Bose headphones I got for the same price, $199 (black only that I saw, I got the darker blue ones). Perhaps Bose is coming out with a new model and trying to move current inventory? Doesn't matter to me, as that's the way I like to buy technology -- I rarely need the latest greatest, and will take a deal on the then-current bestest technology. But for anyone interested in them, they may be available at Costco for a while. On a random Costco note, there was a truck in the parking lot selling car keys. I learned it's affiliated with Costco and rotates to different Costcos in the region. I lost one of my 2019 Lexus remotes/keys, and the dealership charges $450-ish. I asked about it and unfortunately they only currently go up to 2018 (check back in 6 months) for my ES. The girl (34B) estimated their cost would be $300. A while back I looked into trading/selling my car, But if you need such a remote, might be worth checking out.

Sure there can be a decisive victory against Iran, and the Sunnis want nothing to do with Iran. Sunni countries want to move forward, unburdened by what has been. Palestinians are a problem because they elect terrorist groups like Hamas, they have never wanted a two-state solution, and their terrorist tendencies make it such that none of the surrounding countries want anything to do with them. Except for the multiple Palestinians you know who are Americanized, of course. Apparently you think a better solution is to provide hundreds of millions/billions of dollars to terrorist regimes, so that Iran can develop nukes and we truly are stuck in a situation where they always have that threat.
