I thought about highlighting parts, but I'd end up highlighting 3/4 of it. I did think the second to last paragraph is interesting -- by not defining Harris themselves, the Harris campaign has perhaps allowed Team Trump to define her as "too liberal or progressive."

You don't just plead guilty without a deal. Of course, the AP, that pinnacle of unbiased reporting, alleges that it is because Hunter is such a great guy and didn't want to put his family through any more pain. Occam's Razor says he has a deal somewhere. My guess would be that it includes a pardon, either by Harris (if she wins) or Biden (not preferred because of bad optics, but if Harris loses). Possible financial benefits from the DNC to get this out of the news cycle as well. As such I would bet you that he gets pardoned within a year. Say $25 or $50, nothing to big, it's more for bragging rights. Let me know if interested.
