Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
I would argue that October 7, 2023, demonstrated the very worst of humanity. Also, building your terror network beneath mosques, schools, and hospitals demonstrates the very worst of humanity. Zohran has zero life wisdom to draw on to understand this, though. -
Sniped me on that one.
-
That's the version I picked.

Agreed, this is what I was trying to say earlier. We need to pick a total of 120 songs (I think there are 10 of us left), I don't think we need to be overly restrictive. Song or album release in the decade should be fine for the song IMO.
-
It doesn't matter when we listened to it. Sometimes songs are released ahead of albums, for instance.
-
Agreed, although I recall an earlier draft where there was some discussion about a song fitting in a decade. I'd say that if either the album or the song was released in the decade, it's good.

What is worse. Being a professional (paid) Protester or doing it for free at FFT

Fox News! The same as the entire MSM infrastructure! Maybe you'll get NPR funding back in the negotiations. They are unbiased as well. -
I know this has been disallowed, but The Smiths? Are you feeling suicidal?

A blizzard on Everest? What are the odds?

Frankly I'd have been happy with at least 3 other songs from Ten. Decided to go chalk.

The public agrees because the MSM tells them what to think. You see it in the marching orders that folks like Gutter follow. You got it initially, but now you don't. -
You can argue for multiple songs from this album but this is my favorite: 1.02 Jeremy, Pearl Jam @BunnysBastatrds

What's worse? Tough call. She gets paid a little money, but she needs to attend events live and blow a kazoo in an interviewer's face. The Lefties here get to post from the comfort of their mom's basement. But they type things like "it's the Republicans' fault the Democrats voted to shut down the government." That can't be easy either. -
That was hella impressive. That sequence of spirals at 1:25 was amazing, I have no idea how they didn't knock down the dominoes around it.
-
I'll join this if you need another drafter.

Yes, my reverse jinx powers are scary. Unfortunately, the Cardinals are a clown show. There need to be multiple firings tomorrow, at a minimum the OC Drew Petzing, and Emari Demercado needs to be cut.

Who is Bad Bunny? SB Half Time Show Performer 2026
jerryskids replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club
I heard one of his big songs, Titi Me Pregunto, on the radio yesterday. Just listened to the beginning again. Not impressed in the least musically. I'm open to a lot of genres and can appreciate talent in most of them. Didn't get it with this song. That being said, I don't care who performs at the SB, other than whether or not the show is a "wanna see" vs. "I might leave it on in the background while I make another drink." This show will be the latter for me. -
U.S. Military Boat Strikes and Venezuela Thread

You are the guy who cried about me mentioning your Jew hatred in non-Jewish threads, right? -
That's terrible if true. Hopefully they do a more thorough investigation now. And by "they" I mean not the initial group that jumped to the suicide conclusion.

Parents call out unfairness as trans pitcher throws shutout in Minnesota softball state quarterfinals
jerryskids replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
Riley opposes men in women's sports, so Tim thinks she hates all trans people. Interestingly, Tim opposes every single action Israel does, but he thinks he doesn't hate Jews. -
U.S. Military Boat Strikes and Venezuela Thread
jerryskids replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
This is like what Tim did in the Gaza thread. He claimed that Israel was committing war crimes, but all he had was videos from pro-Hamas sources showing Hamas-aged men running through the desert. He'll spend the next several months searching the entire interwebs, and will eventually find an X post from the 3rd assistant to the 7th assistant Navy cook's barber saying something about Venezuela, and he'll claim victory. None of that changes the fact that he is wrong now though. Note that Megla specifically said "yet." That's because he knows how Tim operates. Tim won't take the L though. That's how he rolls. -

Imagine hating your own people this much. Also, this post is certainly worth killing someone over. I'm surprised Israel hasn't killed him, his wife, his kids, his parents, and his cousins already. Also also, Hamas hasn't accepted anything, other than Israel to stop killing them. Hamas is stalling. "Starting talks?" -
Hey, can we delcare Oct. 20th "No Tims" Day
jerryskids replied to Meglamaniac's topic in The Geek Club
Cool. I thought you were closer to NYC, but great that you are away from that rat race. My wife might retire in a few years, and we'll probably look into a place near the city for a summer, to be by our daughter. I like it's proximity to I-84, which gives easy access to Wilkes Barre and Boston, my two old haunts. Would like more lakes tho. -

Last weekend we spent 3 days in New Paltz in the Catskills/Hudson River Valley area, on the tail end of visiting our daughter in NYC. Hit up a winery, two distilleries, and a cider mill (Brooklyn Cider; my wife joined a club and our first shipment is on the way). Did an awesome hike in the Minnewaska State Park. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/gertrudes-nose-trail It was fairly challenging but had miles of views along a cliffs edge. On a related note, I wouldn't recommend it for people who fear heights. Also walked over and back on the Hudson River pedestrian bridge and had some delicious meals. Fall colors weren't in full display but there was enough to please us desert rats. All told, a great time. -
My MIT brain wonders what any of these shotgun blasts have to do with the MSM period. But if we are playing this weird game... did the MSM ever weaponize the IRS against conservative organizations?
