I don't know why you think this is some big point. Many of us knew that Biden went downhill long ago. The "shock" was that they didn't get the cocktail right, to make him look even slightly coherent.

Thanks, great stuff. Regarding Skagway, there are lots of different cruises with different stops; I intentionally picked one with Skagway because I've heard great things about that train ride. Stops are: Icy Strait, Skagway, Endicott Arm, Juneau, Ketchikan Looks like Juneau is the same day as Endicott Arm, so I'm not sure we'll get any big hikes in.

Going with my wife's family on an Alaska cruise this August; inner passage for 7-8 days. Juneau, a glacier, plus 3 or 4 other stops. Looking forward to some days of good hiking and exploring.

I haven't ever belonged to one so I can't say from experience. That being said... What is driving you to fell you "need" to join one? Business/political connections? I thought about it back when I was young and making Geek Club bank, but I would have been driven by golf mostly, although occasionally taking a customer there might have been helpful. From a golf perspective, I prefer variety (for similar reasons we've never gotten a cabin, as we like to check out different locations). And there is no lacking of golf courses in Phoenix. I do have an old friend who belongs to a club and has asked me to join him for a round. I kinda let that slide; this reminds me that I should ping him about it, after the weather gets out of the 110s.

When Trump was POTUS, he basically biotch-slapped a bunch of delinquent hanger-on countries to pay up or GTFO. I respectfully disagree that an article basically saying that three of the strongest European countries are committed to strengthening their military strength, is an indictment of Trump. On the contrary, it's exactly what he has wanted all the time.
