The lack of a crowd is IMO the biggest advantage for Biden -- he was never particularly good at reading a crowd, reacting to it, motivating it, even before his dementia. He would have been utterly lost if the crowd was in any way responsive. Considering the mic shut off as a benefit to Donald is a pretty partisan take. Objectively, Biden has a tenuous hold on coherence at best, and 100% Trump would have rattled him. No crowd, no noise, no bright lights, just a sterile serene environment for Biden to read his prepared statements. Somebody is trolling... The answer is that it is both physiology and environment. Studies have shown that children of gay parents tend to be more gay, as do abused children. So environment is a known factor.
