LOL, you think that thanking Jesus for a result in a sporting contest vs. other people is a good thing? "Good or bad" -- have you heard a DB thanking Jesus for getting curb stomped by that WR? They should, if they are true Christians, but they never do. You thank Jesus for dying so that you might live, and for providing such inspiration to do your best in the face of fear and adversity, like He did. If you need any more guidance from someone in the one true Christian faith, let me know, I'm happy to help. Thanks, Amen

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)

If they did, and/or if the proposal is a federal price gouging proposal for states of emergency on specific , then that's a discussion worth having. It doesn't impact the price of groceries now, though. -

I agree with the article; in fact it basically expands on my earlier comment that Lichtman took quite a few liberties putting keys into the Harris camp. I stopped short of calling him biased though, because he did call Trump in 2016. Perhaps since then he has become a TDS never-Trumper, I don't know. -

I was going to say something similar @OldMaid, but I won't repeat Mark's excellent description. -

I've asked how this grocery store thing would work, but haven't seen a good response. Is it on individual items, like we'd have a czar of dairy setting acceptable prices for different types of milk and cheese? Or is someone determining an overall acceptable margin? In either case, a company like Walmart has armies of accountants who can move costs around to avoid whatever arbitrary limits were set. Kroger, probably not so much, since they are primarily/only in the grocery business (I think), although they can move costs around in the individual czar model. Joe's Bodega in Little Dominican in Manhattan? Fuggettaboutit. The margin idea has the added issue of, like you said, their current margins are already slim. It's a volume-based industry. It's a dumb idea with no possible way of implementation, but as we've discussed here, the American people can be very stupid and increasingly like the idea of free stuff, so it will be popular to low-intelligence voters. -

Interesting model, thanks for posting. I could argue that he took some liberties in determining true/false, things like the economy doing great (if so, why do we need Kamala's undefined price gouging idea), white house scandal, Trump not being charismatic. Also the implication is that RFK dropping out helps Kamala, which I understand the historical reasoning, but seems incorrect in this specific case. Nevertheless, like you said, he has an impressive track record. -
Yeah, I watched part of that game, they look legit.

Can you provide a link with details regarding these proposals, starting with the gouging plan. I looked on her website and it is mostly about donating money, plus meet Kamala and Tim. -
I would do it, Troon was super fun. I looked into flights earlier this week. You can fly into Belfast (Northern Ireland, about an hour drive from the tourney) or Dublin (Ireland, 2 hour drive to Belfast, 3 from the tourney). From where you live though, you can probably fly nonstop to Dublin, whereas it looks like (for me anyway) the Belfast flights require a connection in Heathrow. You can possibly also ferry between Scotland and Northern Ireland, but I haven't looked into it.

In I'd love to see the WM Phoenix Open added back in, since I go every year. But I understand if it is not an elevated tourney Which reminds me, I got lottery tickets for the 2025 Open, in Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland. Only W-Th, they didn't give me Friday like I requested, but there is an aftermarket at which I can probably get them. My son said he wants to go again so I paid for them, and we might try to play a few rounds this time. But, my ladies (wife, two daughters) have made it clear that continued boondoggles to Europe without them are... choosing poorly.

Somebody tagged a sad emoji to this post. I look forward to them responding and telling me why this makes them sad.

Agreed. Pretty Barbie doughnuts don't mean trans, although I'm open to hear what I'm missing. Otherwise, he has a very weird obsession with trans stuff.

Another random word salad thread from weepers with no links and no explanation about what the heck he's talking about. Great job, great effort weeps!

Well, yeah, that's smart, but there is not obvious tie to the Covid vaccine -
Well, that's useful!

No

I'm fine with a 10th. Have you done a President's Cup side event?

What does this have to do with the Covid vaccine? -
Why would you thank Jesus for scoring two touchdowns? That's basically thanking Jesus for the opposing DB/defense failing. I learned as a parent that you don't praise the accomplishment, but you praise the work and dedication that led to the accomplishment. Similar for God. Thank him for the strength and perseverance to do the difficult training that led to your success.

My sister in law always uses apostrophes in such cases. My wife and I discussed recently whether that is correct vs. just "s" or "es". Neither of us is sure. Which is to say, it's far from obvious which is correct, to me anyway. Here are some examples from Etsy with the apostrophe, for house name plates. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1550555430/custom-bronze-house-numbers-plate?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=house+name+plate&ref=sr_gallery-1-37&pro=1&sts=1&content_source=bd5b3112727594e620902a953a2b95045090c837%3A1550555430&search_preloaded_img=1&organic_search_click=1 https://www.etsy.com/listing/1383156494/cast-brass-personalized-signs-custom?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=house+name+plate&ref=sr_gallery-1-38&pro=1&sts=1&content_source=7365d5ebbdd20dbfd4a5a29b4cf61ad0a27b643a%3A1383156494&search_preloaded_img=1&organic_search_click=1 -
The Bad Hombres thread —another day another heinous crime in the Schocheting of America

A few things: One, "illegal" is grammatically correct. It is an adjective describing "immigrant." "Undocumented," on the other hand, is intentionally vague and non-descriptive, which is what the left wants. FWIW, I avoid calling such people "illegals" because as a noun, I concede that it is unnecessarily labeling. Two, it's just silly to not differentiate between the two populations, or "personas" if you prefer. The legal immigrant is typically a well-educated professional coming here for a white-collar job, or a student attending our university. That would be generally your Chinese and European persona. The illegal immigrant is, well, not. That's not racism, that's demographics.
