Thanks for reminding me how stupid your interpretation of that post was.

Thanks for posting this. Summarizes it nicely. @Ron_Artest, your thoughts?

Who is Bad Bunny? SB Half Time Show Performer 2026
jerryskids replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club
From that list, Bruno Mars was by far the best halftime show. Possibly second all time to Prince. Re Bad Bunny, I'm in the group of heard of him, I'm sure I'd recognize a song or two, but I couldn't name a song with a gun to my head. I get why the NFL wants to attract younger and international viewers. I'd be surprised if they let him go all political, tho -
I admit that you proved me wrong. This is the dumbest thing I read on the internets today.

Blames Republicans for not using the nuclear option to overcome the will of the Democrats. Also thinks the American people will agree with him.

Way to ignore my point, Moderate Tim.

The difference between Turnip and MSDNC is that Turnip is just an insult, whereas MSDNC is rooted in the incontrovertible fact that the main stream media is a mouthpiece for the Left. But muh Fox$#@! I see you Fox and raise you ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NPR, and every major newspaper not named the NY Post (until recent purchases, anyway). I've never said anything like "so inherently violent and warped" regarding trans people. I'm disappointed you think so. It is known, however, that trans people have significant comorbidities with mental health issues. I also never said that the Left cheers them on, but they certainly make excuses for them. I didn't post much at FBG, but one timeout I got was when I said regarding CHAZ and Portland during the Summer of Love, that the Left's opinion was "what are you going to do, animals gonna animal." It was misinterpreted by some turd mod as me calling them animals, but I digress... heck, you made excuses in your next paragraph... ... which is crap. The biggest abusers, actual abusers, are likely their romantic partners. Yes, some parents are not accepting, but those same parents are not accepting of gay kids, and there doesn't seem to be that same problem. You claim to know a bunch of good old boys up near Buffalo; do they get together on the weekends to drive around looking for trans people to abuse? Didn't think so. Oh, did they get bullied in HS? You know who else gets bullied in HS? Everyone. HS is just one big Lord of the Flies where hormones rule the land. Fat kids, skinny kids, smart kids, dumb kids, you name a trait, I'll show you a way to make fun of the person for it. Finally, I have always maintained a personal respect for trans individuals while strongly objecting to the social contagion of the movement. Heck, 90sbaby calls me a Rockefeller Republican because I'm not "based" enough for him regarding trans folks. There are specific, valid objections to trans people in the military and "healthcare," but I've already diluted this more than a shaken martini.

My initial answer was going to be "I dunno, I'm just a poseur like your buddy," but thankfully Bier rescued me. I don't exactly know the answer because I'm not a chemist, but a few thoughts. One, I don't think that stirring DOESN'T alter the flavor, but moreso that it alters it less than shaking. Two, liquors like gin have a lot of aromatic botanicals infused in it (juniper of course, but generally several/many others). Perhaps shaking agitates the liquid such that it releases more of these aromas into the air vs. stirring, thus altering the taste? Three, it is known in poseur circles that a single drop of water in whiskey alters the taste. I believe it releases some flavor chemicals that are previously bound within the liquid, and is thus considered a generally good thing. It was common in Scotland, for instance, to be given a dropper and glass of water to accompany your Scotch. But perhaps too much is a bad thing? In the end, perhaps the dilution is the biggest thing. Sunday night I had a martini at the airport before my flight. Bartender shook the fock out of it, and I ended up with a diluted drink with little flecks of ice in it. Not nearly as good as when I stir my own at home. -
I stand by everything I said. It's not my fault that you are too moderate to see it.

I've moved gin martinis into my rotation with old fashioneds. I use lemon-stuffed olives at home, and splash a little of the lemony olive juice into the shaker (technically, I stir because shaking is for knuckledraggers), and add a lemon rind. So I basically get both the olive and the lemon twist goodness, which is good for me because I hate making decisions. For the OP, around the late 90s I was out at a bar with some work folks and they had a drink none of us had heard of called a cosmo. I asked what was in it and thought, hmm, that sounds tasty, I'll try it. When it came out pink, the guys in the group gave me all kinds of shiot. The chicks though were all over me to taste it and chat me up about it. It wasn't quite as good as a puppy for a chick magnet, but had I been single, I maybe could have parlayed that pink drink into some other pink. -
Your entire thread is a troll, look at the title. The problem with your analogy is that the Left (including the MSDNC) has created an environment of acceptance of violence from intersectional folks including trans (as an example, see the Summer of Love). People like Real Tim foolishly believe that the only reason trans people have such a high percentage of mental health comorbidities is because normies are mean to them. So they don't get the help they so sorely need. And of course, words are violence, so the Left accepts that such marginalized people may respond with actual violence. Before you point out some Democrat in Peoria who doesn't feel that way, I'm not saying everyone on the Left endorses it. I'm saying it is part of the larger belief system in place. Finally, I acknowledge that a majority of Republicans associate with MAGA, but I don't think it means the same thing to them as it does to Gutter. Gutter thinks all MAGAs worship Trump and would accept any behavior of his. I don't believe that is true for 70% of Republicans. So my comment was wrt Gutter MAGA, not Real MAGA.

I asked a general audience question for a memo of how we MAGA folk are supposed to hate on LDS. Moderate Tim replied to me with a NY Post article saying the shooter was MAGA. Is it fair to presume that he was attempting to provide me such corroboration? Unfortunately for Tim, his article mentioned that the shooter had substance abuse problems and a relationship with a woman from an LDS family in Utah, so his gotcha, as usual, was an utter phayle. As for your part, this post will likely be the dumbest thing I'll read on the interwebs today, which is impressive for 8:10 AM my time. This false equivalency is idiotic. That being said, I do like how you equate Democrats with MAGA. I agree that the platform of the far Left has increasingly made it into mainstream Democrat views.
-
I literally asked for how this was part of the MAGA movement. You responded with your moderate tripe. Whether or not he was MAGA is irrelevant. And you conveniently ignored the parts I referenced about his real issues. Keep on your moderate ways, Tim.
-
Some Christians don't like LDS. Some Christians are MAGA. Therefore, this attack was a MAGA thing? You need help with logic. Not to mention your own article mentioned that he has struggled with drug addiction, and that he had a relationship with a woman whose family was LDS when he lived in Utah. Both of which are probably more relevant than "muh MAGA!"

Congrats on the Reds making it. My DBacks gave the old college try, especially after selling at the deadline, but couldn't quite pull it off. I'll be rooting for the Reds over the Dodgers.
-
What does that have to do with a MAGA movement against LDS? Tim being his moderate, unbiased self. Must be a day that ends in "Y".
-
This guy honestly thinks the shooting was a MAGA thing. Oh, and it's true that one side has been fed 24/7 propaganda about a certain person/movement being Hitler and Fascist and the end of democracy... and that was just from the prior POTUS.

I just got back from vacation so I missed the MAGA memo about how we are supposed to hate and kill LDS. Can someone forward it to me?

So your answer is, the local authorities should be allowed to decide that the lives of Federal workers are not important, and the Feds should acquiesce and allow their people and facilities to be attacked by Antifa terrorists. Makes sense.
-
If the local authorities will not protect federal facilities from Antifa terrorists, what should the Feds do?

Supreme Court Allows Trump to Slash Foreign Aid

My understanding is that it was a temporary stay as it weaves thru the legal system. You can't easily un-give the money. If I'm wrong, let me know. Also, I think you are significantly underestimating the impact the Executive branch has on international issues. The Department of State comes to mind. -
In other words, you have nothing. Thanks for playing.

Should they use their nice words when Antifa tries to kill them?
