I understand the words. It's the comical way you combined them.

Did you know if you shear a sheep...NSFW language
jerryskids replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
@edjr, you might want to put an "NSFW language" note on that. -
That would mean he spent all our money on hookers and blow.

Restaurant chain shuts down nearly 50 locations in California following minimum wage hike
jerryskids replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
We used to have one close to us, it's quite good. I'd say a step above fast food, $10-15 range. Just looked, there are a few still around within 5 miles, and lunch is coming up. That Mexican corn bowl with shrimp or seafood looks yummy... -
Single mom stirs controversy with rant about not returning shopping carts
jerryskids replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
I always return shopping carts, and generally consider those who don't to be neanderthals. That being said... I could see some situations where you might not do it. Phoenix summer, for instance -- inside of a car approaches boiling. You aren't going to put young kids in a car seat, then take a minute walking a cart to a corral while the skin burns off of your kids. You get in the car and crank the AC ASAP. Also a woman at night, sketchy area, I could see not wanting to do it. But, she's in SoCal and sounds like she is lying to herself with statistics to justify her sociopathy, so... fock her. -
Red Sox place pitcher on 15 day DL for Anxiety  SAWFT!!!
jerryskids replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
IKR? I'd have kept the anxiety on the down low. Opposing crowds are going to ride him mercilessly going forward. -
Wut? Please explain.

The other day my wife was watching a video on her phone. Wife: OMG, Megyn Kelly looks turrble these days? Me: Really? Wife: Yeah, look [shows vid]. Isn't she really skinny? And those hair extensions? Me: I mean, oh yeah! Sure, she looks like she's had a little work done, but she's still good looking.

I learned in this thread that all cops are white supremacists. At least all the bad ones.

That's a lot of words to say thank you for my adding facts to your feelz. Also I'm too busy at the moment. Besides, it's fun watching @Engorgeous Georgebang his head against the wall with you. -

I can't say what was the biggest reason. But yes, there appear to have been multiple factors. -

Restaurant chain shuts down nearly 50 locations in California following minimum wage hike

Bankruptcy implies that the company was already on less than ideal financial footing, so they were less able to absorb the wage hike. -

I just gave you the definition of a starter job -- your first job, not intended to support a mortgage and a family. Did you work to eat and live solely on your first job? If so, I would venture to guess you were in the vast minority. The labor is not "exploited," comrade. It is paid what it is worth. Again, since you continue to ignore it, I'm talking about a starter job which is a HS kid flipping tortillas at Rubios... oops, no longer. Question: Do you think it makes sense to raise the minimum wage in the entire state? Do you think a restaurant in, say, Beverly Hills could afford to pay more than a similar one in, say, Bakersfield or Fresno? Mmm hmm... -
I probably wouldn't have jumped at that bet; DBacks haven't been playing well. Corbin Carroll is completely broken, and 3/5 of our starting pitchers (top 2, maybe 3) are injured. But hey, thanks to the Giants for fixing what ails them.

I just said it was for HS kids with no training or education. Are you high? if not, why do you waste my time by replying without reading my posts? -

And "fair" is not the word I use to describe $20 for a starter job intended for HS kids with no training or education. -

Perhaps. Regulations are designed to incentivize behavior. It's often not the behaviors the regulators want though. Unintended consequences.
