  1. By calling him the biggest piece of sh1t in America, I feel like you are close to admitting to your Machiavellian justification to get the OMB. I don't blame the jury, or think they came to the wrong conclusion... given the structure of the judge's instructions, and how the case was steered throughout. FEC chair not allowed to testify to relevant testimony? Jury can find some second crime, don't need to agree? Plenty of other things. I've documented his "crimes" several times, none of you Lefties will own the real reason.
  2. I've got MSNBC on: Michael Cohen is talking to Rachel Maddow; they are treating him with the reverence he so deserves.
  3. "These crimes" being paying off a porn star 8 years ago and reporting it incorrectly, a misdemeanor, then ginning up an election interference claim (which the feds didn't prosecute) to turn it into a felony, so that the statute of limitations didn't end. To convict the Republican nominee for president? I take it you are in the growing group of people who won't own that this is a "we need to get the OMB no matter what" reality.

Best All Time B Rate Horror Movie ?

Yeah, half those movies are classics, not B movies. Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Evil Dead even, along with what you listed. But... I was hoping that Re-Animator was listed. I was a senior in HS, and took a date (cheerleader two years my younger) to watch this at the drive-in. It had nothing to do with the movie, it was about getting a cheerleader to the drive-in. The movie, I'll say... did not add to the mood. Still got a handy though.
  5. What accountability did this conviction accomplish? @Dozer FBGwon't quite do it: will you own that this is all about getting the OMB at all costs? Or have you been waiting for 8 years to finally get accountability for paying hush money to a porn star?
  6. This is the same dood with the "accountability, finally" post earlier, right?
  7. In his presser, Bragg said that Trump was convicted of 34 counts with conspiracy to commit election fraud, or something similar. So, do they know that the election fraud was the mysterious second crime?
  8. Are you kneeling in front of Bragg as you type this?
  9. Well Doze, I'm trying parse this. What should I be ashamed of? How did I minimize Trump's crimes in this case? How did what I describe above cause "damage to our American discourse"? Just admit it, you are saying the quiet part out loud. Trump was the mean OMB, and he needed to be stopped at all costs. Own it, be a proud Machiavellian.
  10. Quibble? I responded to an accusation that I'm minimizing his crimes. Dozer doesn't seem to have any supporting thoughts, perhaps you can tell me how I'm minimizing his crimes in this case.
  11. You said I'm minimizing his crimes, I asked you how. Please advise.
  12. Crimes in this case? I just outlined them. Tell me where you disagree... ...oh wait, you are saying the quiet part out loud. This trial is something of a catchall, lifetime achievement award to get the mean OMB. Murca.
  13. Lol dude. New York dragged out an 8 yr old misdemeanor and added a federal crime (that the feds didn't prosecute) to turn it into a felony. To the Republican presidential nominee. SMH
  14. Yes, paying off a porn star 8 years ago has been weighing heavily on the American people. Thank goodness they got him.
  15. Maher nails it as usual. TL;dr: Millenials and GenZ tend to suck at actual important things, but they think they don't, because we've trained them to think they don't. We don't listen to your music because it sucks. Being an influencer is not a great career goal. https://www.thefp.com/p/bill-maher-american-kids-paris-hilton?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

Bill Maher: American Kids are Way Too Confident

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on this. If you are interested in learning more about luxury beliefs, Rob Henderson has written a lot on the subject. Made a career of it, some might say. So feel free to read skeptically. But it contains some interesting ideas. https://www.robkhenderson.com/p/status-symbols-and-the-struggle-for

I am saying that I don't see government services towards it, even though we all agree two parents are best. Also, you can help single parents while still advocating for two parents, but we don't. I proposed fear of racism as a factor. Another is that Marxism opposes the nuclear family. We've seen single parenting increasingly glorified over the past few decades. This glorification is a "luxury belief." Mostly supported by upper middle class to wealthy folks, who themselves are mostly in nuclear families.
  19. Snopes lies with its conclusions often. We just discussed a case yesterday: False? That's partially true, not false.

Leftie Dictionary: Right wing nut job = someone who doesn't hate Trump with the same passion of a thousand burning suns as I do.

Trump looking at Musk as policy advisor

I would agree that conservatives are more vocal than they used to be. Two possible reasons come to mind. One, social media and the interwebs have made it much easier. We used to rely mostly on MSM, which always leaned left. There weren't many conservative voices, other than folks like Rush Limbaugh, the original Satan's spawn boogeyman of the Left (the title of which obviously belongs to Trump now). Two, I think we let progressives have too much control, causing too much change too fast, and a "wait, wut?!" reaction from the right. Change CAN be good, but change for change's sake isn't necessarily good. Most normal people can look back on gay marriage and say yeah, nothing wrong with that, I'm glad we worked through that. And besides, it doesn't affect me or society in general. But now we want medically mutilate confused children? (I know, I hate trans people...)? Now we're impacting innocent children. History will not look back kindly at stuff like this. (actually, it probably will, because the Left will write it and they will say "oh well, we meant well!").

Bill Maher: American Kids are Way Too Confident

Thanks. I agree with this sentiment. Sean seemed to get that I asked about programs, which is more than just saying "pretty sure we can all agree." A program would be an actual commitment, not only of money but of an outward public stance that two parents are better than one. But I googled, and while I see private programs, I don't see any government ones. Why is that, if we all can agree? One reason is that single parents are disproportionately lower income, and more importantly, black, so saying that single parenting is bad would be... what's the word... starts with an R...?

Theory of relativity. If you are on the people mover moving you left, the righties look like they are moving right. That's the point of the meme. I would argue that the entire spectrum has shifted left, just moreso on the far left. My example would be gay marriage, which was opposed by center-left folks like Clinton and Obama. Now I would say most conservatives don't give a rat's ass as well.

Also, haven't folks like Gates, Zuck, and Bezos been advisors on various things to presidents? That being said, any corporate/government relationships should be watched with a wary eye.

I was going to comment on this. Gutter thinks Elon is a "right wing nut job." I imagine Vox told him that. Elon nailed it years ago; anyone right of Marx is a right wing nut job to Lefties like Gutter.
