This is a variation on the Leftist rhetoric that led Robinson to assassinate Kirk in cold blood. Trump is so evil that any behavior is excused through Machiavellian rationalizations. But the right is the side of the dangerous rhetoric.

On the censoring of Kimmel, to the extent Trump did it, I wish he hadn't. Kimmel's comment would have aged like a jug of milk on my back porch in August, and we could have had merciless fun at his expense, as it should have been. Now, Trump has provided the butterfly (an unfortunately, more than a butterfly) that the Left desperately needed to distract from the fact that a whackjob Leftist kid was spun up by negative rhetoric on their side to assassinate Kirk.

I gave the government a lot of grace in the beginning of Covid, since we didn't know what we were dealing with or if it truly presented an existential crisis. Once we knew it didn't, and that the vaccine didn't do as desired, the government maintained it's censoring and other authoritative tactics long beyond the period justified. They also censored discussion of the obvious possibility that Covid came from the Wuhan Covid lab (I feel dumber having to type that, it's so obvious), when that presented no health issue. The censorship was merely to protect Fauci who had illegally funded gain-of-function research through a 3rd party.

It's too dopey to be real, I hope anyway.

Plus we'll still be at 12 when edjr edjrs.

We'd be drafting on Jan 2 for the Sentry, which I'm guessing is a Monday and a lot of people will be off. I'd lean API instead.

I asked the Google machine about full field events, I'm fine with any of these (and the Masters, duh)

If liberal politics causes more crime, then explain this:

Open immigration is the opposite of Denmark. You keep proving the liberal epitaph. Not serious. -

Tim: we should have less poverty like Denmark! Me: [lists a bunch of specific reasons we can't be like Denmark.] Tim: those don't help me eat my cake, so I'll dismiss them. -

I led with Hygge which you ignored and which is anathema to your desire to be a billionaire. I also listed low population, low diversity (and hence low immigration), and strict citizenship requirements including speaking the national language and proving financial independence. None of those apply to the US. You aren't a serious poster on this topic -

I've often said here that if I had to give liberals one epitaph, it would be, "they wanted their cake and eat it too." I provided numerous reasons for you to discuss and/or rebut. Instead you just say it would be nice if we could be all things to all people. Carry on. -
Occam's Razor tells me they discussed suiciding Kirk if he didn't support Israel betterer$#@!

The US isn't Denmark. Denmark is the home of "hygge," which loosely translates into "happy with good enough." True, there is little poverty. There is also little extreme wealth. The top 10% in Denmark makes $120K. Here it is $235K, almost twice as much. The top 1% in Denmark makes $300K Here it is $800K, almost three times as much. Denmark takes much more in taxes and provides much more social services. And of course, Denmark is not ethnically diverse. 85-87% of people there are Danish. Also a low population, just under 6M. This combination makes it much easier to provide services like health care. If this sounds like a better model to you or your socialist friends, you are welcome to move there and become a citizen. Be warned though, it's not easy. -
So, both sides are the far right and... the far right? How moderate of you! You have a weird set of sources. You don't trust the governor of Utah, but you trust DropDeadBiased, +972Hamas, and now Candace Owens, a serial grifter. I guess as long as it supports your hatred of your people, you'll trust any hack source.

Food is ridiculously expensive, don't you think??

Thanks, I'll check that out. -
Interesting take by Walter Kirn. Walter predicted that Luigi Mangione would get off for similar reasons, and a judge just dismissed the top two murder charges against him.

I know you hate context when defending violent Muslims over Jews, but he was talking about the violent Muslims that want to kill Jews. Seriously, why do you hate your own people so much? Were you abused by a rabbi as a child?

Stating the hard to argue fact that gays would get thrown off of a rooftop in Palestine is not nice? Or joking about how Israel has leveled a lot of the buildings used by Hamas to cover their terror tunnels is not nice?

The Freakonomics podcast is airing a series on ATC right now. One of the problems with their antiquated systems is that they differ from location to location, so you can't move an expert-level employee to a new location, he would need to start over. So it is more complex than an "ATC shortage." Also the Big Beautiful Bill has $12.5B allocated to upgrade the systems. You probably hadn't heard this, since it can be construed as a positive for Trump, so your Leftie sources wouldn't cover it. Aren't you the one who drank the koolaid that SCOTUS ruled that POTUS is immune for everything?

Man vandalizes Charlie Kirk memorial outside Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix
jerryskids replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I just visited the memorial. Very nice, maybe 1-200 people there. Regarding the property, the buildings are in an industrial park. The memorial is between the curb and the fence to the buildings. The sidewalk is probably public land, unclear about the land between it and the fence -- in Phoenix, for a house anyway, that is owned and the responsibility of the landowner. -

Also, there is a Memorial at Cardinals stadium this Sunday. I'm going to be out of town so I'm not tempted to go, but I expect some violence if and when yahoos like this turd show up. -

Disorderly, destruction of property? I'm sure they can come up with something. City of Phoenix has gotten bluer with all of the Californians scurrying in like rats, but I expect he'll get charged -
