  1. How is the story bogus? I just told you what the story is. Did you read the link?

    NCAA = rooned?

    A lot of ripple effects here. The revenue from football and basketball helps to pay for all of the other sports, and all of the women's sports. How will those get funded now? Either some will get dropped, and/or tuition will go up.
  3. What about the source do you not trust? Do you think they made up the quotes? The test results data? Also the article doesn't say they are becoming doctors; the point is that they aren't passing, and in some cases not even taking, tests necessary to do so. I hope that you are correct and that the standards to ultimately become a doctor are not compromised in the name of DEI.
  4. That is a frightening article. I would be shocked if UCLA is not sued over this. That being said, at the end of the article they discussed a second problem: changing to a woke curriculum: It seems that it is a combo of these two (admissions, curriculum) causing the "colossal failure."

    You used to add at least a little value. Did I fock your mom or something? If so, I'm sorry.
  7. I've heard Najee has slimmed down with a much healthier diet. Probably good, but hard to say. I wonder what the Soilost thinks?

    Excellent input, thanks. I know you are young, so maybe you are taking it personally? Care to elaborate?

    The Revenge of the Normies

    A lot of truth there. Some, notsomuch. But the basic message of hard-working blue collar people feeling disenfranchised by the political power elite is definitely true. Where I disagree is this "Trump comes from a silver spoon so he doesn't empathize with the people" thing. Back in 2016 I'd have bet a lot of money that Trump knew the name and life story of his driver or doorman better than Hillary. Hillary IMO was the epitome of an elite who held common people with disdain. I'd make the same bet about Biden, but it wouldn't be fair, because he has limited mental capacity these days, so he doesn't remember a lot of things.
  11. People like MTG running with the "assassination" message is part of what I was alluding to with "unintended consequences." I don't think that is good. I will say though that at 1:27 Steve Bannon claimed they had a medic, trauma center, and a hospital lined up 18 miles away. If so, that seems a little more than "boilerplate language." Anyway, these are the things that made me wish there was a better option for POTUS this year.

    My "favorite" graph, like you said, is more evidence of the social contagion. But I looked it up and yes, there is evidence that children of gay parents tend more to be gay. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20642872/ FWIW, I used to flat-out oppose gay adoption (my primary reason for opposing gay marriage back in the day), but I've softened my stance. All things being equal, I believe (and I think studies have shown) that the best situation for a child is a mother and a father. But, all things are not equal, and I think a loving, financially stable gay couple like Dave Rubin and his husband are better parents than a meth addict hetero couple.

    What Is The Best Newer Movie You Watched ?

    I believe you've stated this one before. I'd like to see it, but after having recently seen the Lobster with Colin Farrell which was... really weird, in a "looks like a HS theater group filmed it" kinda way, I dunno...

    Fair. I think it's mostly GenZ, with some spill into Millenials. They aren't hard and fast delineations. Also I'm Gen X, not far from Boomer. My kids are a Millenial/Z boy (28 yrs old) and two Gen Z girls. The boy is much more conservative than the girls, which seems consistent with the stereotypes. Our family is like Family Ties, if the parents were conservatives. There is truth in this. My generation was the first of the "latchkey" kids, and I think a lot of those people grew up feeling like they weren't loved, so they swung the pendulum too far the other way into helicopter parenting.
  18. You don't "prepare" to assassinate, you either assassinate or don't. They were prepared to use deadly force. But yes, I think Trump is being dangerously childish with this. I'm mostly having fun with Squistion because he is such a semantic wonk in other cases, including this dictator stuff ("he said it%$#@"). But I think this kinda talk from Trump can lead to... unintended consequences down the road.
  19. No, being authorized to shoot is different than actively trying to assassinate. I'm surprised I need to explain this to king of semantics here. Have you conceded that you are full of shiot on the "dictator" statement?

    Well, yeah, but that's a lot different than hate. You seem to be really reaching for some kind of win here.
  21. The allegation Trump actually made, not your Lefty X guy.

    No but I think the inverse is true.
