You people on the Left just don't understand this global populist movement, do you. Regular folk want their government to protect them. They don't want it to encourage a bunch of (in the case of Europe) radical Muslim migrants to take over regions of their country, rape their women, kill their citizens, and slowly destroy their culture. They don't want discussions with globalist health organizations to sacrifice vaccines during the next pandemic to some shiothole third world country because equity. Regular folk also want the opportunity to do meaningful work. They don't want to hear that the hiring companies are evil and then be given free stuff the government got by taxing other, more successful people. They want to become those people.
