Chinese father, mistress executed after throwing toddlers out of high-rise apartment window
jerryskids replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
That must be some magical poontang, to get a dood to throw his kids to their deaths. -
Sucker punches really irk me. No real man would do that. That guy deserves a sucker bat swing to cave in his skull.

That's great advice.

I'm guessing because today is Feb 1, maybe some people are re-starting their resolutions to work out, after failing in their January attempt?

Can Ilhan Omar Be Deported? Republicans Call for Her Removal
jerryskids replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
I don't see why her comments call for deportation. She's taking sides in some Somalia border dispute? BFD. I guess you can argue that's inappropriate for a US Rep, but deport her? I'd rather deport her because she seems to hate America. -
By "physical exertion," it seems like we are interpreting it as cardio endurance. Which, if so, introduce sports like cross country skiing which I've heard is the most cardio-intensive. But there are other measures of physical exertion. Olympic weightlifting (clean and jerk, snatch) take tremendous explosive power, for instance.

Details released on bipartisan immigration bill that MAGAturds don't want because it vaporizes a Clownzo campaign issue

Latest right wing conspiracy theory: Taylor Swift is a government asset
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
The bolded is how I see it. The Kelce family seems perfect for someone like Swift: used to fame enough to not be overawed by Swifties, but they seem kinda grounded, like you said good midwestern stock. And he seems like an alpha type, which I think she would want. -

I don't like when he does it either, RusTDS. That's my new nickname for you, BTW. So congrats, we are both down to his level. But I know why I'm doing it. -
Sotomayor overwhelmed by demanding SCOTUS workload: ‘I live in frustration’
jerryskids replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
You'll also notice in the above chart that four of the "conservative" justices are more moderate than any of the three "liberal" justices. They sit IMO where justices should sit: a slight bias to conservatism in the classic sense. -
Sotomayor overwhelmed by demanding SCOTUS workload: ‘I live in frustration’
jerryskids replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
Sotomayor is the most biased member of SCOTUS in either ideological direction, and it isn't close. As per Axios: https://www.axios.com/2019/06/01/supreme-court-justices-ideology It is sad that a Justice views her position as that of an activist for every cause du jour, vs. a protector of the constitution, but here she is. -
Something like that.

Thanks. I've suspected something like this; I need to be disciplined about looking for it. Phoenix is a major warehouse hub for Amazon, so 95% of the time stuff arrives super quick. I regularly get next day for free (although I wonder if this is because they know they'll have a truck in the area already).

LeftTard going to the slammer for 5 years for stealing Trump’s income taxes

In his unlocked garage by his Corvette? -
Very sorry to hear. what is going to happen to the daughter?
-
Yep. I ordered 3 small things with expected delivery last Saturday. One arrived on schedule, the other two keep showing delays. I just checked the Amazon app and the last known status was pickup in Minneapolis on 1/26. It also said if I didn't get them today I could cancel my order. I've done that at least once before, which sucked because what I bought was time sensitive so I ended up without it. This time tho, I really want my stupid impulse purchases. I'll wait it out at least this week and see what happens.

I know you think so, and that you can point to studies which show they are a net benefit. I wonder though... is that past benefit because, until now, they did not overly tax our systems, especially health care? With Cali and possibly other states adding health care support, and increasing attendance at schools, I find it hard to believe that this positive benefit will continue. -
Are we doing this thing? I'm not sure we had enough interest.

What should we do about the drone attack in Jordan?
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
I mostly like this answer. I like the idea of destroying everything that matters to Iran. We need to presume though that all paths eventually lead to war with Iran, so our actions should put us in the best position for such a conflict. I've never liked the Obama (and now Biden) approach of fearing Iran and, basically, being their little biotch by giving their money and hope they'll play nice. -
This. Focking clown show. When he skipped that first FG to go up 3 scores, and SF came down and scored, the writing was on the wall. Lions gonna Lion.

Ex-FBI officials warn Congress of 'new and imminent' border danger: 'The country has been invaded'
jerryskids replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
Pfft. Everyone knows that the biggest threat to our nation is MAGA and people taking over the Capitol with flagpoles and pretend guillotines. The deep state has told as as much, and they even had a made-for-TV hearing about the invasion$#@! -
Any Boyos Ever Visit Or Spend Time In Flagstaff?
jerryskids replied to Raven Fan's topic in The Geek Club
Yeah, Humphreys is on my list as well. Just looked it up on AllTrails, it's a 3382 ft elevation gain with final elevation of 12,633 feet (which most people outside of the SW wouldn't expect). Every year many hikers need rescue though, because they don't anticipate the snow and general weather challenges near the top. Hey @Raven Fan, you should definitely do this hike! You should be fine in casual shoes and shorts.
