I am not a Manilow-lovin, hair frosting, tanning,

We disagreed politically but generally we got along. I wouldn't mind having that version back, before he went off the deep end.

I thought Newbie was back! Also I like Manilow songs.
  4. Me and my MAGA ilk. You are such a childish troll. Also, anyone who thinks Antifa isn't organized is a total Leftie sycophant, Leftie.

It's hard to say because the verb is omitted. If it is an implied preposition (like, "Here are pictures of..."), then "me" is correct. But if it is a "to be" tense, like "Here are...", then it is "I". https://www.britannica.com/dictionary/eb/qa/It-Is-I-or-It-Is-Me-Subject-and-Object-Pronouns-after-Copular-Verbs#:~:text=When the verb is "to,Peter%2C Tom%2C and me.

I think I'm up 3 at the moment, but things can change fast here.
  8. He was a rock star in the Baltimore school system!
  9. Required but not sufficient. I don't expect you to understand the difference. But for grins: you need such a degree AND a deep academic record. She lacks the latter. Seriously, you look dumber with every post, please stop, I'm getting uncomfortable reading your posts.
  10. PhD from Harvard is barely table stakes to even look at the resume. By itself it is significantly insufficient for that position. But you are a pseud who thinks he knows how stuff works at elite universities. Just like your "trusting the science," which really means trusting the scientists and what the government tells you is science, since you clearly don't know much about science. Also you obviously don't know her family background. You are just looking dumber with every line. Then you end with an answer to my question: if you think Claudine Gay was a DEI hire, you must think all non-white hires are DEI. You clearly lack the mental ability to differentiate those events. Boyo.
  11. Well, now you are getting into the proper definition of "inappropriate." I have actually never read that book, but based on my understanding of it, I would disagree with its banning. What exactly did SCOTUS say regarding the right to show inappropriate books to children? Because that is relevant. The right to write books that bother people is irrelevant.
  12. If that is the extent of her resume, then for the job of president of Harvard University, that is a DEI hire. Her academic record is incredibly sparse. Also, your post omitted the fact that her family in Haiti was uber rich. This is what the Left considers diversity: admit and/or hire uber rich POC. As a bonus, giving a "best dissertation" award to a paper riddled with plagiarism is also a DEI award.
  13. If what you listed is your beliefs, then you have some non-normal lefty tendencies. But I don't believe your list based on your posts here. And you called me "boyo" in an earlier post. Do you use that as a term of endearment?
  14. No stupid. The "wacky left leftist" is the new normal left. They are setting the wordspeak and the policies. They aren't some fringe group.
  15. Also you didn't answer my question: if you think Claudine Gay was a DEI hire, does that mean you think all non-white hires are DEI hires?
  16. I said Leftists, not liberals. I am consistently careful to differentiate the two. Reading is fundamental, Raven.
  17. Banning inappropriate books for children is not the same as suppressing free speech. HTH
  18. I said nothing about you directly, girlio. Funny though that you make some of the same broad generalizations that I alluded to. So if you think Claudine Gay was a DEI hire, you think every non-white worker is a DEI hire?
  19. While there may be some truth in this, there is also truth in that leftist parents who let their kids pursue being trans because they feel a little that way that day (i.e., overly permissive parents) are causing a host of mental health issues. And of course we have the data of the study, which says as much. To be fair, IMO the bolded captures both of our points. Both types of parents you and I describe are bad. The good ones are authoritative without being harsh.
  20. That's funny, I can write this 180 degrees and be more accurate. If you don't subscribe to the far Left religious sect you are considered a phobophobic MAGAtard. The Left suppresses free speech and demands adherence to the orthodoxy. Unacceptance and ignorance are part of their fascist ideology. Then again, you are a "moderate conservative," so you already know this.
  21. From that list, I'd say my top were: Eagles - The Long Run Supertramp - Breakfast in America Led Zep - In Through the Out Door Pink Floyd - The Wall

    University presidents won’t condemn antisemitism

I'm saying there is a difference. It is a nuance of which you are incapable. Also, Gay is still at Harvard in her academic position. Reports are she makes $880K or more. So clearly Harvard isn't concerned with her (lack of) academic credentials. She was forced out because she negatively impacted donations and prestige.

Oh, so if someone hits it mid year, and nobody else does, that person gets the entire year's pot? That's fine if so, just asking
