All the evidence was his testimony. This has been discussed. -

By "facts," you mean Garcia's testimony, right? -
Our family is going to the Yoop this summer so I'll take my passport (even if I get the Real ID, which I plan to do in June) in case we venture into Canada, eh? Anyway, I just put something in my calendar for mid-August to look into renewing my passport. That sucks. Maybe my wife had to do it. I recall that when we got our kids their first ones, ours had recently expired I think. Anyway, we went to a courthouse where they also did stuff like marriage licenses. I don't recall setting an appointment, but either way, it was not too long of a wait to get helped.

I think my passport expires next year. As in the past, I'll inevitably forget about it, then I'll plan an international trip (most likely a hiking trip to the Patagonia region of South America, but maybe The Open at Royal Birkdale -- I had tix to Royal Portrush this year, but our extended family had other vacation plans) Anyway... I'll realize that my passport expired, and jump through hoops to expedite it.

I was just thinking of this one. My wife and I were looking at a map of India and Pakistan to figure out if both abut China, before they start nuking each other and get China involved (short answer -- hard to tell. India does, but it's not clear if the northern territory of Kashmir belongs to Pakistan or India). Anyway, we saw Myanmar and I said "that name is dumb, it used to be something else, right?" Sure enough, Burma. Heck, we grew up during the Soviet Union, so all those "Stanistans" are just a blur to me. And like you said, Africa changes it's names more than a trans teenager. -
I would expect the first time getting a Real ID to be more involved. Otherwise, how is it more secure than the old one? Renewals, sure

I feel like my wife got a new SS card when we got married. Or something... I don't think she ever needs her marriage certificate for things like passport renewals.

Haven't heard about the photo renewal part... my photo is from my 20's, and I'm almost 58. It usually makes for a good laugh with the ID checker at airports in other states, who says something like "oh yeah, AZ never makes you renew these, do they?! " Mine expires in 2032. Oh well, I have a passport if I need to fly somewhere. My next scheduled flights or July, so I'll probably get the new ID in June after the hullaballoo dies down at DMV. I just looked it up -- you need to go in person, although you can schedule appointments, which hopefully makes it a little faster.

Attn Cinephiles - The Outlaw Josey Wales 4K

Those are my top 3 as well. I'd probably put Unforgiven 2 and G/B/U 3. I love Tuco as well, and there are so many memorable scenes/lines, but to me the other two are more... serious? Deep? There are more layers to the story. Similarly, to me, the formulaic spaghetti westerns all just kinda run together for me. I'm a sucker for characters like Josey, similar ones are Brad Pitt (Tristan) in Legends of the Fall, and Howard Roark in The Fountainhead. People who do what they believe in, and in doing so, become reluctant heroes to the people around them. Pale Rider is probably my #4. It violates what I just said about being formulaic, but I like it, so shoot me. -

Josey Wales may be my favorite Clint movie. Would be interesting to see that tobacco spit hit the scorpion in 4K. -
Federal Judge blocks Trump military ban on transgenders

The need for ongoing medication for those who have physically transitioned is by itself sufficient to exclude such people from service. This has been discussed, you just don't like the answer -
We voted for a progressive globalist world bank guy who clearly knows how to push Trump's buttons to get what he wants? If Canada actually implements a step-change improvement in pulling their weight for their own national security and NATO, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Blue pills? Walter White? -
I thought that was a great response. Took the annexation topic off the table in a clever way, and acknowledged that Canada has to start pulling its own weight.

But as others have pointed out, multiple times: gender dysphoria is a mental illness which requires significant counseling, and those who have undergone or are undergoing medical alterations (hormones, surgery) require constant medications. Both of these disqualify the person from deployment in the battlefield. I've said before, my daughter with Type 1 diabetes cannot join either, because of the physical/medication issue (she requires constant insulin access). It's a practical limitation that has long existed for other such conditions. -

So he lied to the court, either to stay with his family, or he was in MS-13 (or another rival gang to Barrio 18), or both. Bring him back, undo the stay, then... whatever. I've already said that I don't support shipping people to El Salvador prisons, but unfortunately, people have dug their heels in on both sides of this, so I don't see how it can be avoided. I'm moving on. -

Ah, carefully worded I see. I'll do similarly. I concede that his testimony is that he left for a gang-that-isn't-a-rival-gang. But given the situation at the hearing, with his family's business gone and them moved to Guatemala, provides further evidence (that word again) that he may have been in a rival gang to Barrio 18 at the time. Because otherwise, there is no fear. Yahtzee. -

Fair enough on the first part. At the time of his hearing, the family business had shut down and they moved to Guatemala, but they were still threatened with what exactly if Garcia went back to El Salvador? They had no business and were in a different country. On your second part, I'm reminded again of the difference between evidence and proof. There is plenty of evidence. Whether it meets the burden of proof for a non-criminal proceeding is up for interpretation. -
This is still my opinion, and unfortunately it came true. Also clearly, nobody has pimp slapped Trump on this.

So how or why would Barrio 18 make a 30 yr old husband and family man join their gang? -

That wasn't my question, and you ignored the part about the family business and what has happened in that time but you long ago abandoned intelligent discourse. How's that last word coming? -

Thanks. Wiki, as usual the arbiter of non-partisan truth, states the following: But the link to Newsweek, source #2 above from which most of this was derived, contains a key omission from above: So the source is his testimony. @TimHauck, you are the expert here: is he a credible witness in a court hearing about his own deportation? Also, this wasn't my question. What did the gang do to the family business after he left? Also, he was born in 1995 so he's 30 now; is the gang still extorting the family, and they will make a middle-aged man join their gang if he returns?
