Your friend is full of shiot, probably telling you what you want to hear because he is your tenant. I'm not saying that he personally hates Jews, but the systemic hatred taught to Palestinian children is well known, and if he grew up there, he is more than aware of it. Take your pick of sources here. https://www.google.com/search?q=are+palestinian+children+taught+to+hate+Jews&oq=are+palestinian+children+taught+to+hate+Jews&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCDk1MzRqMGo3qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#ip=1

I love that a bunch of people in the UK are tagging their police force and asking if they're going to arrest this guy for hate speech. We'll see if they do. I'm not holding my breath though.

I didn't say that the majority want to kill every Jew they meet. I questioned your assertion that the vast majority "just want to get along." I wonder how many approve of the Hamas raping and burning all those women and children on 10/7? A lot more than you think; of that I am confident.

The difference is the motivation. Palestinians don't want a two-state solution because they want Israel eliminate. Israelis don't believe it can work because 75 years of Palestinian terrorist history makes them skeptical. Israel abandon Gaza in 2005, how did that work out? Palestinians elected Hamas, and hilarity ensued.
-
No, they aren't. 72% of Palestinians oppose a two state solution. Which means, eliminate Israel. Gutter even provided a poll for you up thread. https://news.gallup.com/poll/512828/palestinians-lack-faith-biden-two-state-solution.aspx The poll also shows that the younger the person, the more likely they are to want Israel eliminated. So it is only getting worse. Whatever credibility you have is lost when you use hyperboles like "vast majority" when you don't even have any majority. I recall this about you from FBGs.

When you say he is "Palestinian," what exactly do you mean? Was he born and raised in Gaza or the West Bank? Or has ancestors that lived there? I'm guessing the latter, in part because I'm being told that nobody can escape the open-air prison over there. If he was born and raised there, I wouldn't share your Jewish heritage with him. He's been programmed since childhood to want to kill you.

Enjoying the Michigan/Penn State game. Hard to believe this is the 30th year of Penn State in the Big10. I know because 30 years ago I got married to a Michigan alum; I was a Penn State fan, having grown up in NE PA. On the last day of our honeymoon, exhausted from traipsing around Disney parks, we went back to our hotel, ordered a pizza, and watched the first ever Michigan/Penn State Big10 game.

You would let your sone go to K State?

Thanks for sharing, Volty. I've got my flag hanging out front in support of you and all of our vets.

I read your first article; DeSantis is calling for the elimination of Students for the Justice of Palestine (SJP) at two Florida public universities. That seems prudent. I love this quote from Brandeis: That being said, the call for the removal of student visas, and potential deportation associated with it, without stronger direct ties to terrorist activity is bad.

I'm not an expert in that organization, but I'm pretty sure that the last time you linked wiki a few months ago, it mentioned the little tidbit that the organization was founded and is run by gay people. I don't see that in the current incantation however. That seems like an important details for an "impartial" site like wikipedia, no? Then again, it is well established that wiki is very far Left in its politics. I'd trust them for, say, an explanation of eigenvectors and linear algebra, but not on a woke topic. https://www.gaysagainstgroomers.com/about

I thought the same. Back in the 80s, had this happened, my buddies and I would have confronted these losers.

I couldn't tell you a single thing he's acted in, but I knew him as the front man for this band before all of that. Phenomenal voice. I actually like this live, acoustic version better:

The ***OFFICIAL*** Vivek Ramaswamy for POTUS Thread
jerryskids replied to KSB2424's topic in The Geek Club
I have the same problem. Initially I really liked him: I had heard him speak on multiple pods I listen to, maybe Tim Ferriss? Anyway, super sharp guy. When I heard he was running for POTUS, I was very intrigued. But the bloom has come off the rose for me. One, in these debates he seems like he's trolling for trolling's sake at times, just to get a shock reaction (the old marketing adage that bad pub is better than no pub). Two, his policy ideas are too far out there. The American public is never going to go for the total elimination of things like the Dept. of Education. Similar to my position on abortion, the first job of changing things is winning, so get into office with a more moderate stance and start boiling the frog. Three, his head is so far up Trump's ass he can lick his kidney. I just don't get this. -
In 2007 we bought a 4-plex as a rental to diversify our investments and begin to generate a long-term rental return. It was an older place but on the edge of gentrification in Paradise Valley, the richest city boundary in the Phoenix area, so it had great appreciation upside. It became a total disaster. The housing market crashed, making it worth a fraction of our mortgage on it. Because of the glut of housing we never had it fully rented. It had a lot more problems than the inspectors found. Our management company sucked. It was 30-40 minutes from our residence so going there for anything took up 1/2 day minimum. As a bonus, I lost my job in 2009 after a major reorg. In the end we short sold it for pennies on the dollar. I say this because I sense above, and I've been there on many investments including my story here: a feeling of "well, at a MINIMUM the value will go up X, and I'll just hire a company to manage things and everything will be great from far away..." it doesn't always work out that way. I'd maybe, maybe consider keeping my current house and renting it out if I had to move. But I'll never again buy a place, especially a multi-unit place, with the idea of an easy life of rent profits. Instead I invest in real estate through REITs that focus on growth areas like data centers.

Liberals Dreams Are Coming To Fruition
jerryskids replied to League Champion's topic in The Geek Club
Guess I'll post this here -- I'm not shocked that MIT has gotten into the mix of violent protests supporting Hamas terrorists. Can't let rival Harvard get all the pub$#@! Intelligence is not a substitute for emotional stability. https://x.com/RetsefL/status/1722852140245254559?s=20 -
I didn't see your response to my questioning your assertion that no civilian Palestinian deaths are defendable. I look forward to that, before commenting on this logical fallacy of appealing to extremes.

On a serious note: this combo of of alcohol and anxiety meds seems like a suicide wish, or call for help. Bunny, please talk to us if you need some help.
-
Yet that is Hamas's stated goal. I posted a video of one of their top leaders reiterating it a week or two ago, but I know you find youtube videos to be poor sources.
-
Well yeah, but civilians are dying on both ends, so it is the same! Moral equivalency! Israel should call a cease fire so that Hamas can regroup to steal more resources from Palestinian civilians and rape and burn more Israeli women and children. It is the Western moral thing to do. From the river to the sea!

Gotcha, my bad. I thought you were lending to consumers, not lending to other banks.
-
Why should a private entity not make money on lending? That's like the 2nd oldest profession. I'd rather that then the gumbent doing it. Those same banks setting monetary policy, that's different.
