Here's one, Cori Bush. In 90 seconds she managed to call everyone racist and every phobia in the SJW handbook.
  2. I mostly agree with this, as long as "gun control" disproportionately targets people who do bad things with guns. IMO, laws that blanket make it harder for the general populace to obtain guns do not fit this description. Rather, they are the opposite, as they would target law-abiding citizens who obey the law.
  3. Vs. a scenario with zero guns in the populace, yes, I believe that.
  4. A few things. One, I didn't say there would be an equal number of murders, I said that the non-gun murders would go up. While guns are only a tool, they are a very efficient tool. They also have the benefit of somewhat removing the killer from the act, vs. say a stabbing, where you need to be up close, look the person in the eye, and feel the knife penetrate flesh and tissue. Only a special kinda psycho would enjoy that, not your typical loner school shooter type. Stuff like bombs, fires, etc... those would go up bigly. I predict that one of them would cause a lot of damage, and that method would become the new "in" way of mass killings. Sad to say. That being said, the US is unique in the expectation of its people in achieving happiness, of getting our way. We are by far the most hedonistic society on earth. Nordic countries often measure as the happiest, but when those results are analyzed, they find that those people have fairly low/middle expectations. They don't expect to be rich or powerful, they are just happy with a small place to live and food to eat. Places like the UK and Australia/New Zealand have far fewer freedoms -- the UK arrests people for wrongthink these days, and Australia/NZ were "open air prisons" during Covid. So combine our unrealistic expectations of having it all, and having it now, of always being happy, which social media bombards people with, with a skyrocketing inability to cope with adversity particularly in our younger generation, and you have a volatile combination. That's a long way of saying that it's a lot more complex than getting rid of the gunz. It's tied to the very fabric of our current system. (By "system" I mean all of the inputs and outputs and feedback loops, not the government etc.) ETA: Our approach to mental health, or lack thereof, is an important part of that system. The US approach can be summed up as "there's a pill for that." If help is sought at all. I don't know the exact answer, but it is clearly a problem that needs addressing.
  5. There would certainly be an increase in non-gun homicides. Because in the end, guns are tools, not the underlying problem.

So what's the Leftist play here? "It isn't happening" is out the window. Mostly peaceful? It happens but it's an exception? Maybe they'll stick with Islamophobia. I've learned recently, if you object to violent Palestinian rioters, you are Islamophobic. Thus we have a problem with both Islamophobia and antisemitism. Let's set up a task force on Islamophobia. Moral equivalency. Wheeeee!!!!!!
  7. No, I legit missed it, I was looking on my phone. I guess technically that is a non-zero use of the kids. But approaching zero. Seems like pretty much a nothingburger to me, but if you guys aren't trolling and seriously think big black circles are a big deal, let me know and I'll pretend to engage in a meaningful conversation.
  8. I haven't seen the picture you are referring to, do you have a link?
  9. Jer-bear is more than a little cringy. Just saying.
  10. Which part is inappropriate? Mentioning to the electorate that she focks her husband on camera for money? Or that she has children and still does it?

Famous Geek ~stick is in trouble again

I have a certain sense of, I can't think of the word, juvenile pride whenever I see ~stick in the news. More so than the Apu rumor about Amy Mickelson sleeping with Michael Jordan, because I don't remember actually seeing it when it happened. ~stick, however, was one of us for a while.

  14. There weren't explicit pictures, here is one: https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fnbc12-republican-party-of-virginia-sends-mailers-with-v0-hknng42lm1wb1.jpeg%3Fwidth%3D3024%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dbcece2f15f4a3e9cbe5bc9f51fa885cef2121d76 From the description in reddit: "I got one - the pictures themselves aren't really explicit. They're just closeups of her face smiling normally in what looks like a bedroom and you can kinda see her shoulders. I think it's more the message excerpts that are explicit, but the bad words are censored." As usual, our resident leftists are slurping the jizz the MSM feeds them.

I didn't mention abortion; that's another issue where we Repubs, pardon the pun, step on our d1cks. People here like to say it's about states' rights, that's fine. But when said state then tries to ban abortions, well, that's basically saying that they want to lose the election. If people really wanted to ban abortions, they would get elected on a more moderate stance, then "boil the frog" by slowly limiting the time/ability to have abortions. But that doesn't rile the base I guess. I generally oppose abortions as I've stated a gazillion times here, certainly elective ones, but I recognize there are extenuating circumstances where they are necessary.

Trump backed candidates are doomed to fail in all but the most MAGA of districts because, well, they aren't Trump himself. Trump has a combination of charisma and teflon to be able to say crazy stuff, and his supporters just love him all the more. But put that rhetoric in a non-Trump body and, well, it's just wackadoodle talk. No reasonable populace is going to elect somebody to lead them on a platform of "the election iz rigged%$@!". People want governance at the end of the day. I watched it happen in AZ last election. The magawhackier the candidate, the worse they lost.

    War in Israel

This is what I said upthread: Israelis can just go back to multicultural places like Yemen and Syria, reclaim their land, and create peaceful two-state solutions there. Man, liberals sure know how to solve problems. Winning$#@!

I missed this gem. Not a single civilian death excused? Israel has no excuse for a single civilian death? You are the same guy who says things are complicated. Sounds like you've got a simple model.

Yep, they've been open to it, feel free to Google and educate yourself. And what is "Palestinian land?" There was no nation of Palestine. Just some Arabs that lived there 75 years ago. I don't hear you or any of the terrorist apologists complain about the Jewish exodus in the late 40s: Once Israel was created, the surrounding Arabic countries kicked out their Jews. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_exodus_from_the_Muslim_world Perhaps Jews should go back and claim chunks of all of those countries, then scream apartheid and open air prisons! From the river to the sea! But somehow, in the one small country carved out for the Jews, crickets. Then again, you don't care, you'll just keep hating Jews. If you're lucky, Hamas will rape and burn another 1500 women and children for you tonight.

No dummy, I did consulting on personality assessment in the workplace. The Phoenix Suns were a client of ours, although not mine directly. Different types of people tend to thrive in different types of roles, and identifying those matches can go a long way to ensuring employee success and morale. I'm going back to my "special needs" statement; the fact that you are a lawyer yet lack the ability to process basic English continues to confound me.

Actually, Trump has ruined you, because those words hurt you so. I've never referred to Trump as an alpha, but you seem triggered anyway. Tell you what, answer me this: 1. Do you think there are people who tend to dominate, lead, be assertive in situations, and others who tend to sit back and be submissive? Hint: I used to do consulting on this topic, so if you don't know the answer, let me know. 2. If you do think there are such people, what words and/or descriptors would you prefer that don't trigger you to associate them with the bad orange man?

Each video starts with a different person saying the same thing Your poll is great data, but I was not aware of it. I had, though, recently seen one of the Shapiro debate opponents. Just scanning through it I saw the other two. There may be more, I stopped there. These were the best and brightest that Oxford put on stage for the event. The existence of your poll does not make my evidence less accurate, nor does it justify you trolling with ad hominem attacks on the source.
