Do liberals still think that covid didn't come from the Wuhan lab that Fauci was funding?
jerryskids replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
IMO it is too kind to label it overzealous. By the time the vax was available, there was no medical reason to vaccinate young children. Zero. It was nothing but downside risk. Yet the CDC continues to this day to recommend it down to 6 months. Since there is no medical justification, the only reasons are selfish, mostly from the government wanting to placate the sheeple whom they spun up on Covid being a lifetime superkiller (I guess you can call this overzealous), and/or to maintain their control over the masses (more cynical but no less likely). And selfish for big pharma of course. Cha-CHING!!! -

The problem is we get stuck in these false dichotomies: The vax was GREAT! Not really. The vax SUCKED! Not really. Like most things in life, the answer is nuanced. The problem is, the government does not think the populace is capable of nuance, so in this case they pushed it for everyone. They may be right about our inability to deal with it as a populace, but armed with the knowledge that this is how the government approaches things, we can seek out the nuance and act accordingly. -

The vax saved a lot of lives and severe illnesses for the elderly and folks with comorbidities. The vax was at best a wash for young, healthy adults, and arguably a negative for young men because of lingering heart issues. Once it was clear that it wasn't stopping transmission, it should not have been suggested for this demographic. The vax on young children was unjustified, criminal, and people should go to prison for pushing it. There it is in a nutshell. HTH -
My daughter recently bought the Toyota Corolla Cross and loves it; it's a step down in size from the Rav 4. One downside is the engine does not break any performance records, so if that is your goal, you might want to stick with something like the Mazda. IIRC, the comparable Mazda crossover was the highest rated of whatever site I was looking at at the time, mostly because of its performance. As somebody mentioned above though, it had a tiny screen which wasn't touch. I currently have a Lexus ES 350 without the touch, and while the screen is decent sized, I'll never go without the touch again.

She's got bewbs She is in Washington Heights. Her roommate is a good friend from here, and is going to Columbia med school for physical therapy, so the location is great for him (he's ghey btw) and she is around the corner from the 1 train which goes down to the fashion district. Also it is rent controlled.

Actually the best thing that happened while we were gone was that my youngest daughter got a job in the fashion industry in NYC. You may remember my thread last summer looking for help/suggestions for her to live during an internship there. She has since graduated and moved there 4-6 weeks ago to look for a full time job. The one she got sounds perfect -- doing 3D patternmaking which is the future and which will differentiate her from the older, tech-illiterate folks in the industry (and a lot of the younger ones). It also gives her flexibility to move back to Phoenix if she decides she doesn't like NYC; she can move to other industries (e.g., furniture design) or work remotely as a contractor. I cannot describe how happy it makes me to see my baby girl be successful, and for me to have lived to see all three of my kids successfully start their careers.

Good question. I'm also trying to figure out how a foodie like @Bier Meister doesn't like eggs.

Good morning all! Well, afternoon now. I just returned from a wonderful two week trip to Italy to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, which is today. Being the yard boy this week -- bulk trash pickup is this week so I'm cutting as much overgrowth as I can before they pick up the piles. Hope you all have a great week!

1. NuTrail Keto Blueberry Cinnamon Nut Granola (white bag with dark blue trim) 2. Autumn's Gold Grain Free Granola, Toasted Coconut Almond (paper bag colored bag with light blue trim) I tend to mix them 50/50 in the bowl because I'm a dork that way.

It's interesting that when the Left is confronted with the Democrat party being the party of slavery and Jim Crow, they are quick to point out that things have changed. Yet when they are confronted with the fascism prevalent in their party, their reaction is "unpossible: that can never change and it is always and forever Republicans."

I went years doing quasi-fasting (no breakfast but I use cream in my coffee). When chemo started, calories became king and I added breakfast back in. I now regularly have some low carb granolas from Costco (quite yummy) with almond milk and berries (rasp/black/blue). It's the most fiber I get during the day, and fiber is good for gut biome health. That being I said, I just got back from two weeks in Italy where I ate their traditional breakfast: prosciutto with cheese, also caprese salad, plus a small dessert pastry. I get kinda hangry these days if I don't eat something before lunch. Also we love eggs and often have them for dinner (we call it "brinner"). Also bacon or sausage, toast. And if I stop somewhere for lunch I often pick a breakfast place.

You keep saying "geek club" when many here are saying otherwise to your statement. Are you a bad troll or just dumb? -

Here is an explanation. Just because there are not currently a ton of trans women ruining women's sports, doesn't mean we should let any of them ruin their sport. This doesn't seem like rocket surgery, so hopefully you understand. -
Great article, thanks. Not surprising that docs will only speak ot anonymously for fear of becoming canceled by the woke community. And the huge increase in female patients is clearly social driven, to think otherwise defies reason.

I know right? I mean, that kind of stuff happens every day. To even question it is cray cray. Seems the defense wants access to the house to support a different version of events. Probably just a swing for the fences that those wacky lawyers often do: "The defense argued the body camera footage and crime scene photos provided during discovery aren't sufficient enough to time out what happened inside the Pelosi home before police arrived. The attorney's added any additional access would help prepare them for Mr. Pelosi to take the stand."
-
Hard to believe Rusty could go 3 posts without saying something like Magatard, but I'm open to the possibility.
-
Sorry if this was covered in the pages since, but what exactly is the sequence of events here? Depape shows up, ends up inside, cops happen to stop by, Depape bashes Pelosi with hammer while cops are there? And I'm crazy for thinking this is a little strange?
-
Who are you? Also you are right, it makes sense to bash someone with a hammer but not finish the job or leave, instead just hang there with the door opening waiting for the po po. Like I said, we'll never know. We've been given our story and instructed to move on.
-
This was my thought. Although, as has been pointed out, its a pretty good joke to a receptive crowd. As for the actual incident, we'll obviously never know what really happened, but the official story doesn't pass the smell test.

We stopped into a pub in Florence to kill time before dinner and caught the end. I tried to explain to my wife that even if Fowler managed to tie the hole they'd be dormie and the Euros would get a half point, and she was so we lost?
