At 13 Baltimore City high schools, zero students tested proficient on 2023 state math exam
jerryskids replied to RLLD's topic in The Geek Club
Uh, I haven't posted in this thread yet. The JDS is strong here... I actually came to NOT discuss race, but since you went here, I present the following paper: Research on group differences in intelligence: A defense of free inquiry This paper completely captures the essence of what I have been saying; @RLLD as well I believe, but he can confirm. You see, luckily there are scientists who don't derp their way through life like you do, considering the mere possibility of a genetic component to be raciss$#@! But to be fair, some do. It is a highly contentious topic with no clear answer. I wish I could paste the entire thing but it is quite long; I still encourage anyone to read it who isn't afraid to get pulled out of their safe space. A few excerpts though: The argument against a racial component hinge upon the belief/existence of "racial realism," or that there is a substantive difference between the races. One argument presented in favor of it: Many of the arguments are not that it doesn't exist, but that there is no societal good to investigating it. Noam Chomsky, he was pretty smart: Also, Sam Harris accepts the science of the Bell Curve, but advises we keep our head in the sand. The MSM and many scholars want to control/censor research and uncomfortable discussion on this topic, including a dearth of funding: After discussing the pros and cons of conducting such investigations, the conclusion: As I've always said, I'm not saying that it is incontrovertible that race is a factor in intelligence. But to say it isn't, and to just say "yer raciss!", is not very intelligent. I fully expect you to barely read any of this and call me a racist. -

I'd pay money to be a ref in that league. -
I disagree, it looks like he just ducked down to let Chubb get dragged over him and down. https://twitter.com/search?q=nick chubb&src=typeahead_click Turrble injury though.

I did my college thesis in a high voltage research lab. There was a machine with a sign that said "this machine generates [xxx] amps. THIS IS LETHAL! I appreciated that they didn't beat around the bush with amorphous words like "dangerous". You touch this, you dead. -
Democratic Legislative Candidate Focks Husband On Camera For Money
jerryskids replied to 5-Points's topic in The Geek Club
I wonder what Gen Z or millennials think about this? Maybe it's no big deal to them. I'd ask my daughter but that might be an awkward conversation. Personally i would have a hard time taking her seriously, but I'm an old-ish fart -
It's not a stretch to think prophylactics work by different mechanisms than cures do. Otherwise you could just take the vax once you get a disease, for instance. @Casual Observerposted an article recently which, while not a study, riffed on some possible mechanism by which ivermectin might work. I believe their were some postulations in there.

I just looked it up; there are an estimated 2.1 million "content creators" on OnlyFans. That's quite a few. It makes you wonder how many people you meet or just pass by IRL who do it and you don't know. This chick is an NP, right? For all of the doctors, PAs, and nurses I meet at Mayo, I have the good fortune of having several who are quite attractive. I'll look at them in a new light now. -
MDC will tell you that he really, really wanted to vote for the other guy, but that guy had an R by his name so he chose the stroke patient.

He did have a button down shirt on in that video of him feigning shock at the Biden impeachment inquiry. Baby steps.

Good morning Mike! Had a great weekend other than ASU getting killed and the Cards doing Card things. Went to the DBacks/Cubs game Saturday, and had our kids over for dinner last night -- they are sports fans, so we watched SNF and the DBacks while chatting, good times. Have a great week all!

Here are the two sentences before that I "deleted," along with the one I included: Regarding context, you are wrong of course. That being said, I'm not "excusing" what he said, I merely asked for some context around the discussion group and the rest of the discussion. Regarding your meta-study, they are talking about three different studies. The third, as I already pointed out, noted "significant reduction in positivity." The first two didn't, but they also exhibited high heterogeneity. From the internet: Heterogeneity in meta-analysis refers to the variation in study outcomes between studies. StatsDirect calls statistics for measuring heterogentiy in meta-analysis 'non-combinability' statistics in order to help the user to interpret the results. Measuring the inconsistency of studies' results. Also from the internet: Don't do a meta-analysis if heterogeneity is too high – Not every systematic review needs a meta-analysis. Explore heterogeneity – This can be done by subgroup analysis or meta-regression. So the authors included two studies with high variability in a meta-analysis, where such inclusion is not preferred. Perhaps this all led to why their conclusions, which I included and you ignored, indicated that more study is required. I asked if such studies were performed, and perhaps that is how we got here in this circular discussion. I'm guessing they haven't. So we still don't know. Be better, Tim.
-
Apparently you don't understand context. Repeating the same things without any additional info on the discussion before or after, or anything else about the talk, does not add context. HTH. Regarding your study, it's odd that there is a meta analysis of all of these studies we haven't otherwise discussed regarding ivermectin as a prophylactic. But let's look at the some of the comments in it. As your article says, there is some evidence on the effectiveness, but they have determined that it isn't conclusive, and that more studies are required. Which I'm presuming haven't been done, or else you would have posted it. Is this your point? Ivermectin may work but we haven't tested it? Congrats I guess.

So in the dark she moves her boyfriend's hand away from her breast, and has her hand on his inner thigh, and this is what the blue pill media tells you. But the topic of this thread, the democratic candidate who played pee sex on Only Fans, is a "hit piece." Do you ever tire of being a stooge for the MSM? -

Do we have video with the actual lighting so that we can see the horror of what all of the young children got to see, vs. just the night vision camera from the pervy teen in the theater hoping to catch some booby? -

Hero? Also, some idiot retweeted a March 22 tweet of a June 21 convo where Bret is riffing about Ivermectin, without the context of the entire discussion, and this is some great gotcha? This, from the guy whose comment to somebody who posts something from two weeks ago is "that's old news$#@!" To my knowledge, you still haven't shown where Ivermectin has been disproven effective as a prophylactic.

I'd have probably done the same. In my case with Ekeler possibly not going, I didn't really have other good options at RB. And as I look this morning, Ekeler is doubtful so... I kept Mattison for what amounted to a 5th round pick. It made sense on paper at the time, and was a good RB3/flex option (after Ekeler and Mixon). Now, I'm not so thrilled.
-
I am a fellow dejected Mattison owner. I wonder if he fumbled his phone while reading those. Also yeah, get a life people

How did you and your spouse handle sleeping arrangements when one of you had COVID?
jerryskids replied to Pimpadeaux's topic in The Geek Club
A couple years ago I think we maybe slept in separate beds. Just a few weeks ago my wife had a cold, no fever but general blahs, we stayed in the same bed (king bed) but with no contact. I maybe got what she had, but my respiratory tract is focked up so it is hard to tell. or to Rusty: I slept with my engorged peemus in your wife's mouf so she wouldn't breathe on me. -

Funny, after I posted it I actually thought that you might come here and say exactly this. I probably should have gone back and changed it to Leftist, since King's take has more of the religious zealotry typical of the sickness of Leftism. -

I've cut back some on the water and it's helped; I still wake up some, but I don't pee that much. I think my body is just trained to wake up every few hours now, like you describe. Unless I drink a lot like you said, but I don't do that that often anymore.
