Can anyone say how the whole "January 6 thing" was worse than the 2020 riots?

That there is a systemic problem of cops killing unarmed, complicit black suspects. Is this a trick question? -
I didn't know his sect, but clearly he thinks posting random bible quotes on a low-rent FF bored is the path to salvation. Also, wasting everyone's time with the world's largest and most useless "Interests" which takes up an entire laptop screen for every worthless post of his. Anyway... I've always taken issue with the concept of God condemning people for merely not having been exposed to him or Jesus. I understand why certain Christians believe it, though -- it keeps the call to do missionary work all the more urgent, to save as many souls as possible. Interestingly, the following was from our Catholic mass this past weekend: So weepaws is doing his part to "dissuade the wicked from his way." Not very effectively, I would argue, but doing it nonetheless. And also, God does not hold the "wicked" responsible for their death if they are not aware of the evil of their ways... so at the end of the day, does God really punish those who don't know about him or Jesus? I think not, and I just provided biblical evidence.

Figures, I started Dalvin Cook. This year is off to a great start for me. Also this crowd is quieter than a diving meet since Rodgers went out.

Oof, that field is brutal!

I'm sure I've said it before, but to say "we re-counted so there wasn't fraud!" is an incredibly simplistic position. In the 2020s, I'm confident in our ability to count ballots (with minimal error). The question is more "garbage in, garbage out," or, were the ballots themselves valid? How much harvesting went on, and is that illegal? These are the more relevant questions IMO.

Now go get your focking shine box! Seriously though, I'm thinking maybe a few new political threads, maybe a random bible quote thread. You know, shake things up around here.

This morning I dropped my wife off at the airport; she is attending a conference all week, which is code for "getting drunk every night and painfully sitting through boring presentations while hungover." I know from experience... I have enough food and drink to survive, I think. Also my older daughter seems to think I'll curl into a ball in my safe space and cry all week or something, so she is coming over to watch the MNF game (I do like seeing her of course, I just enjoy her lack of confidence in my coping skills ). If you see me posting more this week, now you know why. I'll be bored, so please entertain me.

So who owns something like that? The feds, Nevada, some private corp? -
Everyone loses and you don't fire someone for every loss. But that offensive line performance was pathetic. No effort, no pride, just said "thank you sir may I have another" all night. Cards defense sacked Howell 6 times yesterday; Gannon brought a lot of pressure. If the Giants line doesn't look much better this week, the line coach should probably go.

Your lack of self awareness is amazing yet not surprising, Bible quoting doosh. Do you deny the two separate quotes from Jesus showing deeds lead to salvation? Caution: you might need to rub a few brain cells together to get the correct answer. God bless.

That is so awesome, congrats Gramps!

Nothing about works? Let's continue reading John 3. Immediately after the famous John 3:16 statement, Jesus yet again equates deeds with salvation. That's twice now; do you continue to deny the words of Jesus? Deeds are clearly a path to salvation. Perhaps you can show me where in the Bible Jesus says that the path to salvation is to be a pompous doosh quoting Bible verses?
-
I gave you a direct quote from Jesus, you choose not to believe it because it doesn't fit your low-intellect interpretation of the Bible, and you believe that your interpretation and ability to ignore quotes from Jesus is infallible. With what authority do you disregard this quote? God bless.

9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,”[a] and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. - Romans 13 9-10

A few points. One, I don't know why you think Mother Teresa did not embrace Jesus. Two, works do get you into heaven, according to Jesus. And it is works, not words, which define one's love of Jesus: Jesus says: “If you love Me, keep My commandments … He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me … If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John 14:15-24. I see that you are one of those people who thinks he can be an insufferable doosh who drives people away from God, but that you will achieve salvation because you cherry pick quotes from the Bible that support your position. Hopefully that works out for you. Many people from the Catholic Church, much smarter than you, have analyzed and identified the various paths laid out for salvation. Our God is an inclusive one who wants his people to succeed. God bless.

This would be phenomenal if we can stop the environmental religious zealots who want humankind to live in caves. -
Me for drafting Dalton "I see nu-THING" Sgt. Schultz two years in a row.

Wait, do you really mean Mother Teresa? If so, are you special needs?

[** Official President Joe Biden Thread **]
jerryskids replied to Rusty Syringes's topic in The Geek Club
Like Hunter giving 10% to the Big Guy, and paying his father's bills? No, the timing was just the context of the discussion. There was a time when we gave politicians a long leash; we let Biden get his 10%, Pelosi and her husband insider trade, and Hillary literally destroy her illegal server before it could be analyzed. The attitude was "what can we do to NOT indict them." Trump, you may have noticed, is different. The attitude is "what can we do TO indict him." I'm no fan of Trump, but I've gone from considering not voting for him in the general, to almost definitely voting for him (if against Biden), solely because the political machine and media are clearly in bed to rig this election. Sorry you can't see it. -

You call what the FBI did with that laptop for all these years an investigation? Really? How about the DoJ trying to bury complete immunity in the plea deal? I mean seriously, if you are going to stick with this "if there was something there, the feds and media would be all over it" nonsense, I'm not sure we're going to have a very intelligent conversation. -

To your last question, a few things. One, Biden investigations are just starting. Two, theFBI and DoJ have no interest in investigating.
