it’s okay to murder a baby in the womb when ?

To be clear, I view it like entitlements like welfare - they only work in a society where people use them as a last resort, not because they want their body to look good on that upcoming cruise.

Great job not addressing my point.

What I really think though is: there is a difference between what you should be ABLE to do vs. what you SHOULD do. You should be able to protest military funerals like Westboro Baptist Church did, but that doesn't mean you should do it. With abortion, you should be able to ultimately make the decision for you and your family, but we as a society should not celebrate it, should not tell you it's no big deal, should not make it easy on you emotionally. You should be made well aware that you are ending a human life if you abort that child, not this bullshiot about "it's a fetus not a life$#@!". If you still choose to do it, so be it. We should create a culture that values and respects the unborn. Unless the fetus is viable outside of the womb, then for sure it is a no-go.

Like the Left often does, Rusty likes to legislate from extremes. I've often advocated a "zero plus" approach, where the default is no abortions but exceptions can be made. So in that model, if your son raped your daughter, the fetus was a deformed mess that could not live outside the womb and doctors tell you that your daughter would die during childbirth, you can have an abortion. To make it more practical and have an adult discussion vs. a Rusty discussion, risk to the health of the mother should be a factor.

What if he gets indicted four times and has trials set between now and the election? People like RLLD and me, and a lot of others, believe that multiple things can be true. Like, Trump can have done some bad/wrong things, AND that the pursuit of four different indictments during an election year is more witch hunt than coincidence.

Cmon man, run with it, something like "you mean like a shirt that says 'please rape me'?" Also @GutterBoywas winning this thread, until that last abomination.

    Step down Joe

    Well, which is it?!
  9. I agree. Just trying to figure out your analogy. You seem to think there have been hundreds of protests, riots, and city takeovers because of 14-ish trans people.
  10. Yeah but... https://manhattan.institute/article/there-is-no-epidemic-of-fatal-police-shootings-against-unarmed-black-americans I think there are more than 14 trans people.
  11. We watched Spaceballs with our kids when they were teens, told them how hilarious it was. Yeah, notsomuch. It sucked.

    Step down Joe

Yeah, I thought of that, but it didn't go with the feel-good message I was trying to convey.

    Step down Joe

I certainly agree. I don't like to say he is too old because it is ageist and lazy, but I can't think of a better adjective to encapsulate "he's showing severe mental degradation due to his age." Jill should pull him aside and say we did it Hon, let's retire after this term and enjoy the grandkids.

    Step down Joe

I heard a quote today from Biden from April 2021. It was amazing how much younger he sounded than he does now. And he didn't sound young then.

Did you take a blue pill for him?
  16. BLM is a POS organization from the get-go. If your point is that good-intentioned people joined protests against a statistically virtually non-existent problem, then sure.

    Kupp Hurt Again

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, that's kinda how I feel. I don't really need him to start, and it is a deep keeper league, so I always grab lotto tickets late in the draft (also took Warren).

    Kupp Hurt Again

Any thoughts on grabbing Van Jefferson, particularly for Kupp owners? I can grab him but I just don't know if it's worth dropping one of my late round upside darlings (Rice, Hull, Mims) for a just another guy, even if he is the WR1 for a while.
  20. Agreed. Wife and I stopped watching part way through the second season. There is only so long that we could watch a show with zero redeeming qualities about any characters.
  21. That's what I'm wondering. I'm guessing they wore khakis to the march.
  22. Fauci used a 3rd-party money laundering service to provide US funding for gain of function research in Wuhan, that research being against policy. Now, you can argue that he did it for righteous reasons, truly believing that such research was needed to help mankind, and maybe that is true, maybe it isn't. It is clear however that he thinks he is the smartest person in the room, and not beholden to such rules. More to the OP topic, this is the concern I see -- we'll have some pandemic which truly requires action, and people will not comply. This particular situation isn't it, but someday it may come.

    Burning Man

We flew back from NY last week and Nick Gillespie from Reason.com was on our flight, with a group of 4 other people (including two women, one very hot). Hot chick in particular had a big hiking backpack; it seemed too large for a carry-on, and I don't think reason.com is popular enough to rate special privileges. Anyway, learned today that they were going to Burning Man.

Marjorie Taylor Greene vs Kari Lake: contest to be Trump’s VP choice

The AZ Republican party is a shiot show these days. We had a perfectly good candidate for governor who would have wiped the floor with Hobbs (Karrin Taylor Robson). But she wasn't MAGA enough, so we ended up nominating Lake, a slightly less MAGA AG, and a whackadoodle MAGA Sec of State. All three lost in the general, directly correlating to their level of MAGA: AG was super close, Lake kinda close, SoS biggest loser. It is why I worry when the Trump fans here get all excited at this point. "Ooh, Trump is super, the more you indict him the more we love him, whee!!!" Well, let me tell you, having lived through it: America is done electing Trump. The quicker folks accept this, the quicker we can move on to a candidate who can, I dunno, win the general election.
