Well then you are not listening or looking. Try the 11 second mark where he says "now something dangerous is happening in our country. There is an extremist movement that does not share our beliefs in democracy," while peppering the screen with Trump signs. If your response is something like, "well, he didn't say those exact words," then you are further cementing your reputation as being the least observant poster on this board, and I seriously wonder how you function in the real world.

Wow, great post, thanks for the link. Hard to argue with this. My initial thoughts on the thread were when Nixon officially took us off the gold standard, but upon researching we were basically the last holdout on the move to fiat, and it had largely been done since FDR, so there is no single event to trigger. That being said, and I also don't have a date, but in my mind it was somewhere in the 80s or 90s when we as a culture started celebrating single parenthood. I'm not saying we should shiot on single parents, but we shouldn't celebrate them either. Just like we shouldn't celebrate 43 different genders and various sexual preferences. For a culture to continue to survive, it needs to foster traditional values: getting married (to the opposite sex), having children and prioritizing their development, staying married, respecting your elders (particularly in your family), etc. These should be the things we aspire to achieve -- again, it won't always happen, but those should be the goals. Whenever that started to decline, would be my answer.

This is a big difference. I did a charity thing where you hit a bunch of balls at a green from about 125 yds. After about 10 I got grooved in and was peppering the green. I probably hit 50 total and had a handful stop within 10 feet. I was playing to about a 16 at the time. At that point any one could have gone in, but so much has to go right it is difficult to predict.

Meh, I doubt she'll leave. She has been at MIT less than a year and in that time has been somewhat receptive to improving free speech. I don't feel strongly that she should leave, pending the info in this tweet and if it actually turns into something useful. Also, MIT's "brand" is to be the best technical school in the world. Harvard's is to be the most prestigious. Prestige has taken a much bigger hit over this.

Same. I enjoy chatting with @The Real timschochet. Also, @Dozer FBGseems to mostly bring links/data to updates, so I appreciate that as well. I guess I don't like this place being a complete echo chamber. I enjoy challenging my positions by debating the folks on the other side.

I noticed that too. Hey @The Real timschochet, here is a useful mnemonic device I use to keep it straight, I probably learned it here. You will hate it, but it works. Ready? Replace "transgender" with "pretend." Thus a "transgender boy" is a "pretend boy" meaning a biological girl. And vice versa. So as TNG pointed out, you wanted to use the "pretend girl" (transgender girl) phrase. HTH.

Wouldn't surprise me. Heading into this season I was caught up in the hype and the chance for the Cards to draft him. But as I watched him over the season, I was increasingly underwhelmed. Looks like just another mediocre USC QB who was boosted by the talent around him. Hard pass.
