Your point was that laws don't stop rapists from raping, so why have them? Now it's this.

Dang, it's practically a reunion! I wonder what could be bringing people back this time of year? Welcome back man, stick around.

We can debate how stupid or nonsensical it is, but your idiotic point was that restrictions on the restroom usage would have zero impact on the bad guys. Also, Fetterman's response will be something like "cvnedwjli ;lakjh fniapo"
-
If you are going to propose a false equivalency, the proper one is rapists and not transgenders using the restroom. If you aren't going to bother reading the discussion, just sit it out.
-
You are right MDC. Hey, I googled PA restrictions around schools and this came up: That's pretty focking stupid, amirite?! I mean, drug dealers are going to deal drugs, they don't care if there are enhanced penalties around schools. I suggest you write your congressperson (not Fetterman, he is a vegetable) and suggest they get that silly, ineffective law off the books.

Sorry but @Blue Horseshoe is right, this argument is dumb. By this argument we shouldn't have laws against rape, because rapists still rape. Hell, let's throw out all laws, because people still break them. I'm not particularly advocating the following, but a law or policy against trans women in the women's room would encourage the psycho rapists to seek other opportunities, because people would feel empowered to report a suspicious looking dood instead of risk being ostracized for being a transphobe$#@! Funny, this whole sidetrack started when I agreed with one of the OP articles that true trannies aren't my concern in restrooms, and you mooks are arguing with me about it.

Meh, it's not like I expect my actual 6th to win.
-
Hey Lager, FYI you misspelled my 6th rounder, it's "Lamprecht." mkaythx!
-
It's some of both. The "stop trannies" is relatively new based on the social contagion going on, so it is front-of-mind for people. If Mulvaney had been on a can 5-10 years ago I don't think we'd be where we are. But the image/"I don't want trannies supporting my shiot" was what pushed it over the edge. HTH
-
This has always been my concern; the unintended consequences that the Left never seems to consider. I've never thought that a true trans person is using the other restroom to cause trouble. It's the psychos who want to attack women and children who take advantage of such normalization. A serial rapist finds his inner tranny so they send him to a women's prison, don't dare question it, what could go wrong?

I swear sometimes I'm talking to a wall. I showed you a US code that Biden violated, your response is "but they ignored that one and used this one because it gets Trump!" Uh, that's my point. But for grins, let's look at yours. Paragraphs A through F all end with "or". Anyone who violates ANY of those provisions "Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both." Paragraph B: So they ignored one code and cherry picked provisions from another code to justify indicting Trump and not Biden (or Pence, but Pence is no threat). Trump, a former POTUS and leading competitor to the sitting president. I don't like Trump, but this is banana republic stuff.

Jason Aldean’s "Try That In A Small Town" Censored And Accused Of ‘Pro-Lynching' Themes

The Twittersphere is eviscerating that guy. -
That first sentence is stupid. I used a graphic to explain to you how the feds will selectively enforce laws which apply to Trump but not Biden. You, apparently not getting that, listed some of those items. But the US code says: Biden clearly did that. And before you say it, he had the "intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location" until the documents were discovered. Perhaps you think if someone steals a car, if that car is then located and the thief says "oh my bad go ahead and take it," he won't be arrested? Biden violated the law, certainly enough to be indicted, should the prosecutors be so inclined. Which they won't be. Wanna put a friendly wager on whether or not Biden gets indicted?

True, you've been here a while. I don't really mind the others joining though -- as I've said before, I enjoy intelligent debates, as it either points out errors in your position or makes it stronger. You and @dogcows in particular (is he an FBG outcast?) make me think on occasion.
-
Do you know what a Venn diagram is? If not, let me ask: did Biden commit any crimes with the boxes of documents in his garage?

Basically. I've barely gone there so I'm no expert, but Joe set up a political forum to isolate that from other off-topic discussion, but it got more animated than he wanted (probably people banging the "report" button and he was sick of dealing with it) so he killed it. If any of the FBG regulars read this thread and want to add/correct, be my guest.

True dat. All sports really -- local weekday games start around 7PM, east coast ones are a few hours earlier instead of later so while you may miss the beginning, you can always catch the end. Football Sunday starts at 10 or 11am depending on DST (AZ doesn't do it, so we move to 11 half way through the season. My wife is a rabid sports fan as well, as much as I am, and she is NOT a late person. We would probably never move to the east coast solely on this topic alone.

Try being on Pacific time. It's absolutely fantastic being on the left coast for most things sports, particularly in the US, but Euro stuff can suck.

Tell Us The Show , Movie & Song You Hate The Most
jerryskids replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
Good choice. That was my first exposure to Steve Carrell, whom I had heard was super funny. In this movie he's anything but. So I went in with the wrong expectation I guess. And my daughter danced competitively so, while not pageants, the overall theme was something I should have clicked with. Just didn't. Similarly, my all-time movie disappointment was Brazil from the Monty Python gang. My friends had seen it and said "OMG it's the funniest thing evah!", so I was expecting Eddie Murphy kinda funny, again, anything but. -
The ***OFFICIAL*** Vivek Ramaswamy for POTUS Thread
jerryskids replied to KSB2424's topic in The Geek Club
I don't know if Vivek can win, or even if he in any way expects to win, but I hope that he can influence platforms and policies for Republicans moving forward. That being said, we'll know if he's starting to gain traction if he "unbiased" MSM starts attacking him. -
I presume the context is missing here, but in the game of politics, that is very well done.
