Marjorie Taylor Greene vs Kari Lake: contest to be Trump’s VP choice

I will say though that Kari Lake is very well spoken, so much so that Katie Hobbs chickened out and refused to debate her. I would expect Kamala to do the same thing; it's smart, particularly since both Hobbs and Harris have the power of the MSM supporting them, so the media will just derp their way into accepting it, as will low-info voters. Biden will do the same with Trump, I'll bet anyone who is interested. If you can last 3 minutes without cringing, this link has a video of Hobbs explaining why she didn't debate Lake. This woman (Hobbs) won our election. https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2022/10/16/katie-hobbs-wont-debate-kari-lake-arizona-governors-race-sotu-bash-vpx.cnn

[** Official President Joe Biden Thread **]

The funny thing, and by funny I mean sad, is that Trump is under indictment for bullcrap RICO violations for Georgia, while with Biden we have a bona fide RICO case. Yet Leftists here are saying "you have no PROOF Capone ordered the hit!" This Biden family situation is exactly what Rico is supposed to address. But we'll never see it.

Marjorie Taylor Greene vs Kari Lake: contest to be Trump’s VP choice

Kari Lake lost to Katie Hobbs, who is duller than a bag of marbles. So he should go with her I guess.

    Coronavirus - Doomsday

Thanks. Your second link seems like what I was talking about with the late-stage tests -- hypoxemia, hospitalization, death? That doesn't sound like a prophylactic. Did any of those studies you linked test it as a prophylactic?

    RIP Smashmouth

Are you at least taking today off from drinking? Or maybe it's just as well that you see your liver readings while you are drinking actively. Good luck on the tests. I'll be honest; part of me hopes you have crappy results so that you will change your drinking behavior. But the other part of me doesn't think you will change.

    Coronavirus - Doomsday

AP showing their Lefty bias: Only conservatives? Hell, I can think of Joe Rogan off the top of my head, and he isn't a conservative. He just questions the fascism, so the media maybe considers him a conservative. I think it would be more accurate to word it like the AP, "has not been proven to be effective." Also I feel like there is some conflation between Ivermectin's effectiveness as a prophylactic and/or very early onset, vs. severe cases (not effective in the latter). But you follow this stuff much more closely than I do.

Post A Video Of A Song With Man In The Title!

Terry Kath (lead guitar and initial vocals) was phenomenal; the world lost a great one when he died in 1978.

    Bible

Great advice there, whether or not you believe in God. It's unfortunate that a lot of people who don't believe in God can't separate the two (the existence of God and the value of the advice). Perhaps if people would look at it as the collective wisdom of a community?

    24 shots

Wow. I just did some math: a fifth is about 25 ounces. Presuming two ounce shots, that's about two entire fifths, or close to a handle. In 5-ish hours? Plus a couple of beers, and a gummy. That, my friend, is a lot of alcohol. I hope you look into some help, once you sober up.

    Rate my Draft

I like having the top 5 rbs and top 5 wrs. I draft my team 15 minutes before the other owners.
  11. I agree 100% on the punishment (penance) aspect, that's part of why I consider it a cultist religion. I don't understand why more conservatives don't take up the nuclear banner. We can still invest in research on other technologies, but meanwhile we have a proven technology. The cult doesn't want a solution though, or else we would be doing it
  12. So, pollyanna then. I think that is fair to describe AOC. Probably Greta as well, as she strikes me as somewhat sincere (and autistic). With her being so young I suspect there are some scammers in her camp, but I don't know for sure. In general though, there are definitely people making a ton of bank and laughing at the gullibility of the religious zealots.
  13. Heart rate and heart rate variability are two different things. Lower resting heart rate is generally good. Mine is typically in the 46-50 bpm overnight. If I have one drink, it is roughly 5 bpm faster until about 8 hours after I've had that drink. It's quite fascinating how consistent it is -- if I finish the drink at 7PM, then at 3AM I can see my heart rate lower until morning. Higher heart rate variability is generally good. It basically shows that your heart is adaptable to changes. Alcohol deadens your reflexes, and higher heart rates reduce the time for variability. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/symptoms/21773-heart-rate-variability-hrv#:~:text=Heart rate variability is where, issues like anxiety and depression. I also see a tangible difference in my sleep quality. In the above one drink example, I typically wake up around 3AM and have a hard time getting back to sleep. I'll usually go read for 30 minutes or so to relax. I get up during the night when I don't drink, because my prostate is old, but I generally feel more relaxed and have a much easier time getting back to sleep. I type all of this as I enjoy a cocktail, so I don't practice what I preach.
  14. On topic: I went to get a tire on my wife's SUV replaced today. It was > 50% more than when I bought the same tire 15 months ago. Thankfully the problem was covered under warranty. AOC probably would have told me we don't need a car, we should take public transportation. Which is practically impossible in sprawling Phoenix.
  15. Obviously this isn't an attempt to impose limits, but rather to provide health guidance. I say the following as a person who enjoys alcohol: it's really not good for you. I wear an Oura ring to measure biometrics overnight, and the impact of just one drink on your heart rate, body temp, heart rate variability, and other factors is tremendous. The problem is: how do you determine such suggestions? If you say "two drinks per week" as he proposes, most drinking Americans will tune you out. The current recommendation, two drinks max per night for men, is probably a good compromise if you want a single message. The more nuanced message is more like "try to drink only a few nights per week, one drink is OK, two max". But we suck at nuance.

    Pac-12 down to 2 teams

I don't remember that, or LHUCKS to be honest, but there is something to the "conference of champions." The PAC puts a lot of emphasis on sports outside of the big 2, which I think is generally good for college athletics (I say as a former collegiate baseball player and golfer, albeit division 3). That worked in the past, but not today. I would like to see football and basketball in their own conferences separate from the rest. It's inevitable that those sports will leave the NCAA anyway. Plus Bill Walton always uses that phrase, and he is a treasure of broadcasting. He and Dave Pasch are my favorite team of college basketball announcers.
  17. Perhaps you prefer "scam"? Or to be fare, "pollyanna"? Do their plans rely heavily on nuclear? How about natural gas in the interim, so that we don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. It is an existential crisis after all. No? I bet it's all rainbows and unicorns, an entire power infrastructure with solar and wind whee! typical of idealistic youth which has no real life experience.

    Rate my Draft

I really like it, A-. Love Lawrence as a QB to wait on to load up on skill positions. Your bench is awesome, like I wonder if people just quit drafting in the second half of your draft. In a perfect world I'd have taken a 2nd TE to stream with Kincaid, since rookie TEs rarely excel.

    Where are my reparations????

Well, he gave us fireworks too... Wait, really? My last name is Slovak. I'm also 1/4 Dego and 1/2 Pollack. I had to listen to Archie Bunker call Meathead a dumb pollack for years; I deserve one million dollars in three dollar bills.
