Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Congrats, after 6 months with about 1000 posts on this subject, you finally found a video. Israel says it is performing an inquiry, so I'll wait to see how that goes. It's hard to believe, given the heightened scrutiny that their behavior is under, that they would intentionally bomb a bunch of innocent people (and "journalists"). Well, I find it hard to believe. You absolutely believe it, and will say Israel is lying or not doing enough, regardless of what they say. That's what moderates do. -
Is that a venereal disease? If so, I hope we got rid of it.

You can read up on your Pro-Hamas source if you'd like: I particularly like the multiple mentions of "unnamed sources," like in the above report. Most moderates would take this input and lower their expected accuracy of the report. But Tim is a special kind of moderate who categorically believes anything that makes Israel look bad. -

You can go ahead of me in line.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia Thread - Hearings on human smuggling case Dec. 8-9
jerryskids replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
No they shouldn't, it's not practical, and the Constitution doesn't require it. Just because you wishcast something doesn't make it true. As I said initially, it's patently false. -
Imagine if SCOTUS were a majority of Sotomayors and KBJs. We'd have the inmates running the asylum. Thank goodness for Trump's first term.

The Supreme Court said he had a stay of deportation to his home country. What you said is untrue, or else every person we deport would have to meet your fantastical requirements. -

The bolded is patently false. Why do you say such things? -

I think it means "wife-massaging long-haul Uber driving Maryland dad." -

CNN seems to disagree with us. Or they have a moderate, unbiased agenda. -

So Jared's Jewelers at the mall is suffering from a dearth of illegal aliens making 55 cents/hour picking fruit? That's their target market? -
That's a great story! I'm tempted to try their "regular" bottle (they are having a Labor Day sale btw) for $76, but shipping is $47, so I think I'll pass. But they do seem quite proud of their corn. I'm looking for something special, but not crazy expensive, to celebrate my 5 yr anniversary of my cancer surgery 9/29.

Reoccurring Dreams or Random People in Your Dream
jerryskids replied to The Elevator Killer's topic in The Geek Club
I tend to have a few recurring themes, similar to yours in fact. The most common is to be some variation of late for something, or lost. It could be a house, casino, airport. I turn corners knowing it is the right way, but something has changed and it no longer works or is blocked off, and I have a growing sense of panic that I'm not going to get to my destination in time. Similarly, sometimes I'm just in a building, say a house, and I discover that it is much larger than I thought, with hidden rooms, a second kitchen, hidden patios, etc. Those are more fun. The next most common involves college. I'm back at school for some graduate type degree, but I haven't been going to classes, and I'm worried that I'm going to fail. Usually within these I recognize that I've had similar dreams before, but this time it's real! The people... sometimes there are background people who seem random. If the people are more involved in the story, they tend to be variations of people I know or met/saw that day. Not exactly them, though. It is this last part which makes me think that dreams are us waking up when our brain is trying to figure out what to put into long-term memory, and where. Just a theory. -

You asked for examples. I provided two. You could have saved me some time if I knew you would respond with this ridiculous pablum. Logic and you are strangers. -
The discussion was about conservatives in general whining all the time, so it was completely relevant. Take the L, and go enjoy your family.

Palestinian civilians have held hostages in their homes. Also, you have argued that non-Hamas people have stolen food trucks. -

I don't think they viewed it as that dichotomy when they responded to the poll. -

TimS already posted that or a similar one. In his it said that only 6% of people in DC voted for Trump. I'm confident that Trump could rescue a kitten from a tree, and a DC poll would oppose it. -
No. I didn't say they were. Perhaps you should get some coffee before you try your first failed gotcha attempt.

I guess we can add suburban New Jersey and Fishtown to locations with tough guy luxury belief lefties. Or they are just following their MSDNC masters. -
Protest is a form of complaining. HTH

True. We talked about it recently, although not in this context. Progressivism will always fight to survive, like all bureaucracies. But they've largely run out of worthwhile ideas. So it stands to reason that conservatives would "whine" more about things like medically transing the kids, than actually valid ideas worth discussing.
