Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Sorry, ive been busy this week. There has never been a Palestinian state. Why is one needed to remove terrorism? They were given freedom to self rule in the past, and consistently elect terrorists. Israel has a top global entrepreneurial culture. Combined with a blank check from western apologist nations, if they embraced Israel and it's ways, they would have a thriving economy in no time. Then they will have shown that they are ready to self govern. My money is not on this outcome, though. I provide as evidence the past 80 years of reality. Hopefully I'm wrong, though. -

Personally, I think that Israel always gives up too many prisoners in these exchanges. But, that is how their culture is, and they didn't ask me. If Hamas is disarmed and removed from power, and a group is put in charge that has a decent chance of not morphing into the 826342378th terrorist regime ruling the Palestinians, then I'm good with it. -
Came here to post this. What Peter Cetera did to that band after Kath died is a traveshamockery. Also I love that live version of "I'm a Man" posted above.

Turning Point USA announces ‘All American’ Super Bowl halftime show

Funny, I thought a good marching or concert band playing patriotic tunes would be interesting. While I don't particularly care about who the NFL chose, it seems a little odd to pick a guy who doesn't seem to like America for the game during the 250th anniversary of our great country. But, it's all about the clicks and, I presume, reaching out to new fans in Latin America. -
Hang out with a lot of good old boy rednecks in your upper middle class suburban NJ neighborhood, do you?

While I agree with you, I didn't want Tim to pull the "your racisss!" card. Speaking of which: How did you get "racist" from that pole demographic breakdown? Asking because you are educated and all. TIA

Young, single women can be a powerful voting bloc. With their thinking controlled by Tumblr and now TikTok, they single-handedly carried the 2022 midterms with their hive mentality desire to kill unborn children. Underestimate them at your peril.

Looks like whites overall were neutral. Women and young people with no life experience are bringing it down. That's your team, gutter.

I can't believe that Israel would agree to a single thing in this post. -

I was talking about the possibility that AI could kill us. As Strike mentioned, it isn't there. Yet.
-
Also I think that the perception that AI's value is to create "dumb videos" or ask it what hair style would look good on you, are not seeing the true power of it. Also also, I do fear that we may be treating The Terminator and The Matrix as "how-to" manuals, and we may find ourselves battling cybernetic organisms that wear black suits and sunglasses.

I came here to post the bolded. And I agree that in some cases it is making jobs easier vs. taking jobs, but also it is redistributing the resources. In my old industry (electronic design automation), the entire premise of the industry was to automate the electronic design process, as its name implies, duh. With the advent of AI, the actual "design" part is increasingly done with the help of AI. But that increases the need for verification and validation, since we established that AI can be stupid. I happened to focus on the V&V side of things so it sorta sucks that that pesky cancer thing sent me to retirement; it would have been a fun time to be involved, with things changing so rapidly.

I thought about this, but drafting near the turn, I would have been risking that both Alive and Even Flow got taken in the 20-ish picks before I was up again. That would have rooned my mix tape, since like cmh, Pearl Jam opened my eyes to the world of grunge. There is a saying in (real NFL) drafting: it doesn't take 31 teams to like the guy you like. Just one. In hindsight though, Even Flow and Alive in the 3rd are much better values.
