    California, at it again.

This comment sums up my concern: I've got an 80V battery system with a blower and mower, but that is for my 5000 sq ft patch of grass on maybe 1/3 acre. The battery sometimes lasts for both tasks, depending on how much of the yard I use the blower on that day. I have a second battery (they aren't cheap) which is somewhat damaged and doesn't keep as much charge, so I use it to finish up tasks while the other recharges. More often than not, I end up taking a break while the main battery is charging. I couldn't imagine having to rely on this for large properties, let alone farms/ranches. I would hope that Cali would have carved out provisions for such, since a large portion of their state does farming. But alas, that portion is in the Red sections, so Newsome probably doesn't give a fock.

  4. I wanted to pick him! I'll go with Team Thomas. I'm relying on the kid to pick his dad up here.
  5. I had no idea what I had signed up for, just looked it up. You are right, we have a gambling problem. Looking forward to yelling at some 12 year old on the screen to stop chunking your irons dadblammit$#!

Grill, Smoker, Crock Pot, Pressure Cooker, Sous Vide

You can cook meat to any exact temperature. It's particularly useful for thick cuts, to get an even temp throughout. Also for cooking things like chicken or pork at a lower temp, but for a longer time which still kills bacteria. You can throw a steak in, go golfing, come back 5 hours later and it is perfectly cooked. You can't overcook with it.

I believe that you are correct, and that there is nothing nearly as graphic in @Sean Mooney's list as there is in yours. But I'm open to being wrong, perhaps he can comment?

    Netflix: Leave The World Behind

Just google imaged her, no thanks, she's boy shaped, no breasts or curves. And short hair. Maybe she is a boy.

Appreciate the review, as I was thinking of watching it. Until now.

Just saw this. An example of "free speech" at MIT last week. https://x.com/TaliaKhan_MIT/status/1732505063648563395?s=20

I don't think criticism of Israel's behavior during this war, or its behavior in general, constitutes antisemitism. I think criticism of Israel's existence as a country is pretty darn close to antisemitism, somewhat of a distinction without a difference. If you meant the former, then yeah, I agree. I'll get your response before I address your second question.
  15. Thursday is looking like crap all day for me now, but it looks like we'll be drafting few enough players that I'll figure out how to make it work if the draft goes into Thursday.

This mass murder thing is kinda funny though. The Left: Sure, Trump didn't actually call for the Capitol to be attacked, but he wanted people to do it, we just know it. Also The Left: Sure, people are calling for a violent uprising (intifada) to overtake all of Israel (from the river to the sea), but that doesn't mean they want to kill the Jews, they just want to peacefully relo them after they violently push through the entire country.

It's fascinating how you respond to my post as if you read almost none of it. Where from my post did I talk about calling for the mass murder of Jews? On your last part, to my knowledge the names and details were not released.

I agree that neither side of the establishment parties wants to resolve the issue, much like abortion and others. That's a big reason the establishment on both sides hates Trump -- he didn't get this memo, or if he did, he doesn't care. I will add as a general comment, not to you specifically: we seem to have lost sight of what "asylum" means. IMO it should be a relatively rare occurrence, like for the family of a politician who was overthrown in a coup. It seems to have turned into "my country is a sh!thole so I want asylum."

Seems like you aren't aware of what actually happened, on MIT's campus anyway, and instead are regurgitating the points you read on Kos or a similar Leftist site. The protests there went beyond peaceful speech and extended into physical restrictions and reasonable fear of physical actions, as well as disruption of education and targeting of individuals, all of which violated the institute's rules on such speech. I've posted about this, perhaps you missed it? Anyway, that requires not so much a change of policy but instead an enforcement of existing policy. It's funny, as a centrist you sit here 24/7 disparaging the Right, but then when you perceive a "what's good for the goose..." event, you call for the Right to take the high road. Why would you expect this, when you clearly think so little of people on the Right?

IMO, the question is if we should default to letting illegals in (think @The Real timschochet, who would just open the border) or default to letting nobody in, including folks claiming asylum, until their situation could be adjudicated. I'm the latter. You?

Just wondering, what does being centrist on the border mean?

I don't know what you are arguing about; neither I nor Maher are disagreeing with you. Regarding your second part, that is the nature of things, isn't it? I find it interesting that the Lefties here are all up in arms about the Right "canceling." At Penn, some guy had said he would donate $100M. That's, well, a lot of money. If I were going to donate a lot of money, I would want to feel good about it. If the guy doesn't feel good about it, why should he be on the hook for that $100M? Words have consequences, that's what I learned from the Left.

I took it as you can't say F the blacks/LGBTQ/etc protected classes. Why would he be afraid to say F the White Christians?

    University presidents won’t condemn antisemitism

No, he's saying that if he said the obvious ones, the cancel culture would clip the video to make it seem like he was actually saying it instead of making his point, which is that free speech is equal unless you say something against a favorite pet group of the Left, in which case you will be canceled.
