***EdEx 2023 PNC Championship*** Non-sanctioned Dec. 16-17
jerryskids replied to BiffTannen's topic in The Geek Club
Sorry but I'm out. Next two days are busy for me, particularly Friday, as is the weekend so I won't be able to watch. -
This could not be more wrong. Your inability to see that a huge social contagion is going on, particularly with troubled pubescent girls, is incredibly naive. From the article: What is it that @Baker Boylikes to say? Something like "Don't be afraid to see what you see." It's right there, in front of you, yet you refuse to see it.

Crapper Busting Fattie "supermodel" gets a dose of reality.

Yeah, I like how she sees the camera on her, then throws her shoulders back to make her b00bs look as big as possible. Effort is always appreciated. -
As you know, the problem with baking/convection is the oven is large and takes a while to heat up, so I used to broil like someone mentioned. We now have a double oven where the top is a microwave/small oven which also has convection; it heats up much faster (basically it's a larger air fryer mode). It also has a "speed cook" which mixes in microwave and convection, that works pretty well and only takes a few minutes if I'm feeling even more impatient.

I know what it is, thanks. The very opening of the video states, "at MIT, does calling for the genocide of Jews violate MIT's code of conduct of conduct or rules regarding bullying or harassment?" The Palestinian mob there, in addition to obstructing people and classes, were chanting for Intifada, which can be interpreted as a call for the genocide of Jews (or best case, a violent uprising). So the question was a fair one. Kornbluth's (MIT President) answer was remarkably bad: "I've heard chants, which can be considered antisemitic depending on the context, when calling for the elimination of the Jewish people." I mean what the holy fock is that? Also, all of the presidents followed the lead of "only if it is directed at specific people." What horseshiot. I wish they had been asked if a call for the elimination of, say, black people, or trans people, would be considered bullying or harassment? It all comes down to where you land on the intersectional map. If you want the elimination of a perceived oppressed class, you are a disgusting phobe-a-phobe. If you call for the elimination of a perceived oppressor class, you are a good little marxist and the university's indoctrination has gone well.

What's the straw man?

One thing they could do is elect a peace-seeking government. You told us that's what virtually all of them want, right?

Bunny and Me at lunch in New Orleans
jerryskids replied to RaiderHaters Revenge's topic in The Geek Club
Oh yeah, I forgot about that place. I'm beginning to understand how I got banned there. Not blaming you, but I think TK and/or others were defending your honor by banning me. -
I believe the main driver is the classic Marxist oppressed/oppressor shtick. Palestinians are the oppressed, so they get a hall pass to do... I was going to say just about anything, but I think we can leave out the "just about." How else to explain women and LGBTQs supporting a culture which subjugates, rapes, and kills women and LGBTQs? A good number of people aren't that sophisticated, they are just sheep following what TikTok and Tumblr tell them to support (cue a Leftie coming in with a Trump whataboutism...). Funny you mention brown people: the Left has conflated oppressed with brown, so in their minds the Palestinians are the brown people and the Israelis are the white, even though ethnically their basically the same, color-wise anyway.
-
That would of course be Israel's fault.

What do you hope to get out of therapy? What result would you consider a success?

This is more detail than I think I've ever seen about what I allegedly did. I presume this was TDZ, as I can't think of anywhere else that fits your description. But I have no memory of it and can't for the life of me think of why I would have done that to you. Regardless, clearly you remember it, and I was going through a rough patch back in those days including drinking too much. I wish I could remember details so that I could truly be remorseful, but all I can do is apologize for causing you unhappiness. -
I didn't say that well: when I said that the SEC was overrated, I was saying that FSU should have gotten in. I generally prefer the "team who earned it" approach vs. the "best team based on computers or somebody's opinion" approach. Alabama was a miracle pass over Auburn away from being a two-loss team. They were ranked 8th and an afterthought. Now they leapfrog an undefeated FSU, one who beat two SEC teams non-conference? (LSU and Florida). Not good.
-
Yeah, no way were they going to NOT have an SEC team in. That being said, I wish @phillybearwere still around to tell us how overrated the SEC is, because this year he would be correct. I just listened to a breakdown of their non-conference schedules and performance in those schedules, and both were pathetic. It looks like we have Georgia vs. FSU in the Orange Bowl, though. So I guess we'll get a taste of if they belonged in the playoff.

Leftists don't directly help people in need. They push for higher taxes for other people so that the government can make sure they live in somebody else's neighborhood.
-
What can go wrong if you let in 100s of thousands of people who not only don't want to assimilate into your culture, they hate your very existence?
-
Pundits thought Texas over Georgia. FSU is out even if they win, they lost their QB

Now it's racist for a Native American kid to wear his Native American team's colors? -
That's offensive to people with lisps.

Nope, and nope. I literally gave you the definition of cultural appropriation. I know you Lefties like to redefine words to meet your worldview, but I don't subscribe to that foolishness. If you will agree that this is not a case of cultural appropriation, but you find it offensive anyway, I'll still think it is a wrong position, but not an inane one. And I stipulate to no such thing. I'm kinda sad in a way that the kid ended up being native, because it obscures from the real discussion, which is that a kid dressing up to support his team is not objectively offensive. If you have an issue with the Chiefs having that as their name, go for it, but don't get all woke with a kid for supporting his team. -
